In your case, it wouldn't be much since you have gotten many rare drops ( Or so it seems that way ). Most people usually have 4 of each section.
4x7=28.

In this case, the Clothing Inventory boost would be very useful. Again, in your case, you broke the cap - meaning the drops you got still went into your pocket.

Edit: I'm sure, Babidi, that it MIGHT be 42 of each item. That would be around 11 pages of clothes ( 4 On each - 2 on the remaining page ). I soubt it'll be like that, though, as there aren't many clothes of each type unless you want to make a rainbow of them.

A bit of clarification on CrazyPirate. I think you're right mate, the 42 items could be an issue in your case.

At the moment yes, we have the ability to only purchase so we are up to 4 items per type, Vest, Shirt, Bottom, Coat, Boots, Hat, Belt, or yes 28. That said from the PR, Tuga, and PDF clothing quests we gain 19 items. (3 vest, 3 shirt, 3 bottom, 3 shoe, 3 belt, 3 hat, 1 coat. [I think, it's been a while since I did any but the PDF]) Last time I checked that totaled 47 items right there. The new cap is 42. So, assuming they don't mean 42 of each item, and also that unlike now quest items count in those totals, we will be not gaining, but loosing spaces. Hardly fair. Now, if, like currently the quest items do NOT count, then no problem for those of us who don't have the full inventory.

I just wonder, like CrazyPirate, if the pirates out there who have the full compliment of chosen and quest items will loose some. Because I really don't think they mean 42 of each item. (Another large Disney MMO just recently switched from numbers per item to one large lump number for all as well. Personally, I'd love their member total, they get 500 clothing items and 300 of home stuff, which in our case could be jewelry and tattoos. As if there were even that many or that many good ones. I'd be happy with a lump of 300 items total for clothing and jewelry and tattoos.) In case your wondering, yes, I'm a girl. :D That's just my added thoughts on this.

You're gonna' get the weapons whether you want them or not. Unless you don't go sailing and sink ships or fight on land. Unless you sell the ones you find, which wouldn't make sense to me, you could avoid the new weapons.

Considering the track record on how disney is about selling clothing items when you're limited, I'm not even sure if you can hold the unlimited items, or sell them for that matter. Still, this update looks as if it will be fun for both limited and unlimited members. It will at least be something for certain people like Norries and other valued members of the past to try and get them back in game.

I think the new weapons will be cool, and it will bring back the randomness that was lost in PVP when skills reassignment came out. My only displeasure with this update is with the amounts on the clothes and tat/jewelry "expansion". My first pirate was maxed everything including gold before those side quests came out so he spent his gold on stuff so he could plunder more, the pirate way of life. So when they came out they added to his current totals he now has 44 clothing items and 43 combined tats and jewelry so is D going to take away items I currently have to bring me in line with the "expanded" total. If your going to call it an expansion make it more than currently possible it cant be that hard!

The Evil Will Mcbain 03-23-2010 01:45 AM

Man, they are not going to take any of your stuff away. It probably means that you can now buy 42 items not including quests or something, but I am certain that they will not take stuff away.

Since we are all speculating without a single shred of hands-on evidence, is it remotely possible that the new system will be in addition to what is being stored in the shops?

Crazypirate 03-23-2010 02:54 AM

Now that would be cool!

Interesting. In the picture the guy isn't in a shop. I think you may be right. Hope so anyway.

Jamesvsthekraken 03-23-2010 01:54 PM

I hope they dont delete the shops. :'( :( :/ Anyway i hope this is coming either tuesday night (tonight) or thursday. What do you guys think? :) :/

Midhav 03-23-2010 02:16 PM

I already answered u with the PM James.
Anyway, guys please note that this is only an expansion of the current inventory and not the bleedin' loot system we've all been waiting for ( as i said many times - changing quests how they're done, trading, commerce and ways of loot earning, thats what i expect ).

You're probably right. And it's not like they can just make shops available for purchasing cloths only. Taking away our storage in the shops and putting it in a pouch doesn't seem right.

I don't know, but I sure hope something like this happens.
