You can press the " ~ " key to check and see how active SVS is on your server.
Lol... I've been trying to tell people that for ...it seems like forever

which leads to my VIL... never assume everyone knows what you already know...

Share the simplest info...

Timothy Dalton, the undead Gypsy Boss on PDf back beach, has become the favorite pincushion of the game. Even at level 39, using 4 weapons at level 24, but with low skill levels, I am still earning 250 + rep every single time.

It's hard to start over again, especially on your fourth pirate. You always reach for weapons, or skills, that you haven't earned yet!

VIL: Never make your gunners switch cannons. The 9 second penalty for them to switch is three volleys of fury, that you lose, just to miss with your other side's broadsides.

Edward Edgemenace 01-27-2009 02:09 AM

VIL: Careful with your whispers! If you whisper to one pirate, then to another within three seconds, it won't tell you, but it will revert to whispering to the pirate you were previously whispering to! The first indication you get that something is amiss, is after the whisper has been sent to the wrong pirate!

Likewise, if someone you are whispering to, changes servers or logs out, chat will revert to the last other chat (for example, CREW) that you were using.

Edward Edgemenace 01-30-2009 11:27 PM

VIL: If you have one (or more) friends on board level 10 or lower, LAND THE CARGO. They need the gold. (Don't be like me, and sink!)

Edward Edgemenace 01-31-2009 10:35 PM

VIL: When you start a new pirate on TEST, do not purchase any "tonic" or "remedy" potions, only "holy water," "elixir" and "miracle water" until you are level 10 notoriety, or else you will drink something too weak, when you press "T."

Basil Dreadflint 02-02-2009 04:37 PM

This is for all those people who just got on the test server:

If you spend too much time on TEST, you let your current ingame pirates get lazy! LOL

VIL: If you are going to go on vent make sure you remember to plug in your mic or you feel real stupid when you notice it is unplugged :laughks2: the next day. **** (Saturday)

Edward Edgemenace 02-11-2009 08:02 PM

VIL: When changing graphics options (low/medium/high/custom) it does not always require you to logout after saving changes. Log out and back in anyhow!

VIL: With every new D update the only thing that you can count on are more crashes and drops...

Edward Edgemenace 02-18-2009 03:58 AM

VIL: When you shoot the masts off an NPC ship, that ship moves slower. When you shoot holes in the sails of an NPC ship, that ship moves slower.

But when you shoot the masts off an SvS ship, it loses the weight of its masts...therefore goes faster. (Mostly true for war sloops, but sloops and light sloops, too.)

If you shoot holes in the sails of a light sloop in SvS, it will go slower...only until its mast is removed (at which point it goes faster than it could, with the weight of the mast.)
