If raven cove gets released this summer then the quest might still have to wait for winter, dont think they can make so much all at once.

They're not making it all at once. They have been working on it for months. When we can get on the Island, we will have a reason to be on the Island. Otherwise what's the point?

Jamesvsthekraken 08-18-2010 03:41 PM

Exactly, all that needs to be done now in my opinion is the fishing update to be released to live, and maybe a week wait for Raven's Cove and then it should be on the test game. I mean hopefully they'll release Raven's Cove before the end of the month to test because a lot of us out there have school and play the game less during the school year. :) :/:bookishfj7::piratewheelgo2:

Why would you TELL Disney you're peeking? Major no-no. The mouse knows too much as it is.

I would love see the addition of the fencing blades as well as axes. Axes were very commonly used for ship boarding. They were small, easy to carry and do fairly harsh damage.

The boarding axe was the preferred weapon of the most notorious female pirates of history! Not to mention will Turner used one in the movies. It would be easy to place in the dagger category.

I also echo the desire for more fencing blades! The rapier, and epee look to be fun to use!

Don't forget the Scimitar. The Barbary Corsair arch type should not be forgotten!

Bring on new content, and storage space to collect it!

i just cant wait for the new island to be able to port the bad things is that im a low lvl in test havent really done any pearl quest so i hope that doesnt affect how far i can go in the new quest

I wouldn't suggest giving your hopes up with the release of this, considering even when Disney does tell us about Ravens Cove, it may be two months before we actually get to see this hit open. They'll need people who will be willing to go through the whole quest on test, and report bugs for every little thing.

I do look forward to the Ghost enemies mentioned, though, since this means something new and exciting. But according to the quest text, they seem like some pretty tough enemies.

And I'm just going to say this because I want to see what people think. Remember, about a month or so back, there were EIGHT mysterious islands posted, Ravens Cove being one? This seems big, because even after Ravens Cove, there are 7 little place holders for other islands.

As for 7 more islands... It would be cool if they soon added those into the game... but how about adding at least 10 more tiny little wild islands similar to Outcast. They dont need names, just sand, some trees, and a few enemies... more like sand dunes poking out of the ocean than islands... that would be cool....

Sorry for going off topic. At this point I just want fishing to come out so that they can allow us to land on that island afterward. Im fairly certain that update is coming next. I too look forward to those ghosts Mac... hopefully they can get up to level 50, or higher... atm the only enemies that get up to 50 are the Thralls and Urchinfists. Maybe a ghost boss.... hehe

I want to do that quest too... I would go to that island and explore it thoroughly without it, but it would be a great thing to do.

Also, does anybody know what kind of weapons ghosts will use? Or do they conduct voodoo through their bodies or something?

What EIGHT mysterious islands were were they posted

Sven Osymthe 08-21-2010 07:19 PM

Yes, there were that many islands posted before. We can't be sure whether or not they'll actually use them, but there is always a possibility.

Not sure where they are, but there's nothing significant about the images. They're just what you see from your ship, or the map.

Alonso, I can understand your anticipation is very high for these new releases, but please refrain from our phase files. This is still considered The Walt Disney Company's property, and your account can be put on a long ban or even worse, terminated for not having proper authorization.

Ummm..... It's freeware Disney, it's mine after I download it.

If they don't like people digging through the phase files then don't include them with a freeware package. Also, don't use a freeware developing tool. I mean, at least make the phase files "hidden." It's really unfair to ban people for digging around in their own program files. I'm not using a third-party program, I'm using your game and your developing tool.

It irratates me that Disney tries to mislead people into thinking that they can rightfully be banned for this. Or do they think they have this kind of authority? I for one, would definately cancel my account if I got any sort of ban. And I'm sure others would, too.

My thesis, let people do it! Only a handful of people know about phase files, much less reguarly access them. Look it up on YouTube, there is not ONE detailed video on how to open the phase files.:patchpirate1:

It sounds to me like a "power" thing. :bookishfj7::piratewheelgo2:

ex8404 08-22-2010 09:10 PM

It sounds to me like it's a misunderstanding.

Play in the phase files all you want. Just don't copy Disney's work and try to sell it. That's all. You can mess with the software all you want but the CONTENT is the intellectual property of Disney.

Remember this could have been a reaction by the Tech Support guy to having to handle one more question that had NOTHING to do with tech support.
