Basically, one 114 by 56 layer which has a height of one block has 6384 blocks/bricks/squares to be taken out. Currently, I'm doing an average of about 1/4 of a layer a day. I don't expect to be done with taking out the entire volume for another few months if I continue at my pace. I am slowing down to work on other, smaller projects because this is very big for just one person.

Please note that there are huge cave systems which you can't entirely see yet which will make my job a lot easier because there will be less blocks to clear out. I almost feel silly for taking on a task which could take minutes if I just downloaded the proper mod.

I believe by doing this completely legit will earn you major kudos in the Minecraft community. I'm sure others have done similar things, but it's still downright awesome.

Mac, if you can send me the map, I'll put it up on my server and we can all help you with it. We'll do it legit and we'll be able to get it done quicker than just one person working on it. It's up to you, but with all our help you can probably get it done in a few days.

Also does anyone know if were allowed to post videos on here. I made a video of one of my minecraft worlds and I want to know if it's ok to post it.

MacIronhawk 08-04-2011 07:49 PM

I'm not too sure about the videos and I don't want to give you the wrong idea, either but... I've seen mods post POTCO videos before so I think something PG rated such as minecraft would be perfectly fine.

Also, how would I send you the map?

Go into your .saves file copy the world save and PM it to him.

Go to your .minecraft, go to your saves folder, copy your world file, upload it to a file sharing website, and pm me the link.

Also about my video, I'm going to put it off until I'm done with my world and then take another video of the finalized version. Right now the video is 3 min. long and just shows the inside of my city, not much detail yet.

I tried my hand at pixel art, and I must say, it was fun!

I think I've found a good use for me on servers. I can't build very good, but this was easy enough. :P

I myself will be starting to experiment with redstone soon. See if I'm any good at it. Lol. I'm not good at building stuff either, so we'll see.

I think I went a tad overboard...

Did all of these except the big back sprite in an hour with the help of a friend.

This one took a tad short of an hour to complete on my own. :P

Hey guys! Minecraft has now sold 3 million copies! Congrats to Notch and the rest of Mojang!

Alright, so I finally got the TMI Mod to work..... once. I logged on after I had put everything in and all, and it worked perfectly. After I closed it and came back, it wasn't working. Help?

Try pressing the O key.

I did, multiple times. Nothing. I think you kinda misunderstood me. Or I worded it bad. I meant after I closed MINECRAFT and came back.

Dog Gunmorgan 08-10-2011 08:37 PM

something odd has happened to my minecraft and I can't get ANY mod to work for some reason guess for now I'm stuck doing everything legit which is fine on my survival world and on the multiplayer server I just joined but on my building only world it's quite annoying.. guess I'll have make a deep mineshaft to get all my supplies

WitchdoctorDan 08-10-2011 09:54 PM

What other mods do you have, PIB? May be a conflict, or something. Also, are you using Winrar or 7zip? :P

Is TMI your only mod? The only conflict I know of to make TMI not work, is installing Zombes Modpack AFTER TMI. If you have Zombes modpack, make sure to install TMI 2nd. If that doesn't work, do you have modloader installed? If you don't, try installing it.
