after cleaning out the corrupted bin and reinstaling it I decided to try out a mod compililation... called Yogsbox. it is simply EPIC it has many many mods inside of it one of the more popular ones being Mo' creatures! I had tried to install Mo' creatures myself before but it was an epic fail.. Yogsbox is VERY easy to install ... simply download it from the yogiverse website extract the zip files and run the installer in the zip pack then run minecraft... easiest mod ever.... my next move on a fresh MC (backed up my version with Yogsbox and got a fresh one) is too get the Aether mod because it looks awesome and I want it lol

Just heard that notch was doing a live stream of minecraft 1.8 at PAX. It said that 1.8 will be adding creative mode, which will have flight, obtainable cobwebs, food eating animation, better lighting and a BUNCH more!!!
I can't wait!

Kay, can anyone explain this?

While working on a mountain that I've been tunneling through, I ran out of glass. I wandered out to go get some sand (it had been days since I went out). While heading towards the nearby desert, I came across this:

http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/...utter/omg5.png

http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/...utter/omg2.png

I swear I had no hand in building this. I don't know how this got here. I hadn't built any freestanding structures at all in this world. The structure does look like the windows I had been building in the mountain, very similar in layout to them, at least. Might this be a bug? Or some kind of world-splicing glitch? Or something else? :P

Are you positive that you have never opened your server to other people? It may be very possible that somebody built that, because I doubt that would appear out of nowhere.

Glass is not a naturally occurring block, so I really am clueless as to how this happened without somebody doing this. Notice, however, that there is a cobblestone block on to off the glass - this would have to mean that somebody has been here before.

It could be possible that a glitch arose where part of the data from your structure ended up copied in another place (did you download any maps/packs while doing the mountain project of yours?) but that is unlikely because all of the maps are generated the first time you enter the game, and any changes from there are made by the player. So, it would either have to be faulty data, other players being on your server, or the occasional Herobrine.

I saw that on some sorta video once. Except, it was like a whole house underground and all. You know how there's chunk errors loading worlds sometimes, yes? Well, from what I've read about it, it's kinda like that, but it loads from somewhere else. That's all I know. Not completely sure if its true :P

It was on SP, so nobody else came on. This install is all vanilla, even the texture pack, and I have never really downloaded any maps, so I don't think it's spliced in the aforementioned manner.

It is strange, however, that it seems to be a near-duplicate of an overlook in the mountain. Some trees in the surrounding forest (which I planted) also seem to have been spliced (the leaves on one side of the tree are gone) and the hill in the background looks like it was cut in half, essentially.

I also noticed that my achieves were reset for some reason when I logged on, and I had a spot of extreme lag for a few seconds when logging into this world; which is odd, because I rarely lag in SP.

Is this your first map? Sometimes if you delete a map and you've built stuff on it, if you generate another map with the same seed, chunks from the deleted map will be placed on it.

Tom Sharkwash 09-03-2011 02:15 PM

That's weird man maybe its herobrine!!! You better watch your back because Herobrine is out there...

Or maybe the Endermen came early!! Witchdoctor if you see any signs that say Herobrine was here, then please contact the Herobrine Search Squad at 1-800-Herobrine :P

On one of the networking sites Jeb mentioned that he's shooting for September 8th to be the 1.8 update. Unfortunately, there won't be NPCs according to Notch and him because they're still a work in progress, although they plan on releasing NPC villages with the update.

I won't give my hopes up but next weekend will probably be great for those of us that don't have any plans.

Tom Sharkwash 09-05-2011 11:20 PM

Im sure hoping its the 8th, but I'm kind of mad at Notch because he said that the previous worlds wont be compatible because he is adding a new biome and everything :(, so looks like I'll have to delete my world, but I think I'll wait and see...

FightingExecutioner 09-06-2011 01:35 AM

I am purely excited that 1.8 will extend some capabilities. And the Enderman? It should not be scary compared to Herobrine but a video I saw claims the Enderman is Herobrine but I will not believe that vid. Herobrine is a myth.... or is he? :piratetongueor4:
