I just completed two big projects.

First one is my massive piston theater that is 25 units high and 156 units long on the track. If you saw the digital diamond piston theater at 1.7's release, you understand how this works (for the most part anyway, I had to come up with a somewhat complicated system of bringing back blocks to rid of the audience viewing any pistons). Here it is from the audience's view, and then two views of the wiring behind it:

And then I just completed a huge desert fortress city in a Primordial Desert map. This picture is a little outdated, since the blank spot to the left is now filled with a farm, but am waiting on OptiFine to be updated before getting new pictures and posting a thread on the forums (it really only looks good with dokucraft, or a variation of). It features a minecart station with 22 platforms with piston minecart reset, a library, fallout shelter, residential buildings, shopping district, etc. It is 175 x 175 units.

Sure (I usually do anyway, especially since there are a lot of small details).

I'm trying to think of stuff I could build on a server I play on. Anyone got any ideas?

WitchdoctorDan 10-07-2011 10:13 PM

A giant 3d statue of the admin?

Hollow out a mountain?

A block museum?

A community forge/crafting hall?

A city filled with mob spawners and loot chests?

A mushroom apartment complex?

Lots o' pixel art?

An underwater complex?

Modcave?

Giant computer playing Minecraft?
-----------------------
There ya go. Like any?

I've been playing around with mob textures and placed the villager.png in mobs folder onto an existing png in the villagers folder and well.... uh..... Makes it looks like a freaky Steve o_O Kinda something a Herobrine would love xD:

Sweet pics everyone, I haven't played Minecraft since 1.7. Waiting for all the updates to come till 1.9, then I'll be back for good.

WitchdoctorDan 10-09-2011 09:19 AM

You could just grab the 1.9 prerelease and be back for good now. :P

lerzba 10-09-2011 10:06 PM

I don't even know whats the current version, 1.8 is a bit buggy. I'm waiting for full releases :P.

Dog Gunmorgan 10-09-2011 10:22 PM

1.8.1 is the current version but 1.9 pre-release 3 is out right now. the full update should be out fairly soon.. they are working hard on it.

Possible that Pre-release 4 is on the way from tweets by Jeb with the Ender in it and it's Ender Dragons and is better for finding more Endermen as they are really scarce on the overworld.

WitchdoctorDan 10-10-2011 12:45 AM

The 1.9 prerelease isn't too buggy on single player. From what I've seen, everything is spawning correctly and there aren't too many visual errors (stone brick stairs cast a weird shadow on stone brick blocks), nor have I crashed any, so I would recommend you download it. It's quite fun.

You mean Minecraft Classic? If you do not have or created a Minecraft Account, your Minecraft Classic worlds will not be saved.
