Ahoy! I have been thinking for a while. I have been an officer in my guild since..... probably August. Now for many months the number of people active in our guild has been less than i expected. the GM, me, Jane, Richard and Jack are probably the only active pirates left. Worse is, that we come online at different times. My good friend here on POF William Kid, left the guild because once he came online for two weeks and nobody else came.... Now I have been thinking.
The ETC seems to be a very interesting guild, and I have three of you as my friends - Eliza, Cap'n Way, and Cap'n C Ray. I am trying to broker a deal with my GM Cutthroght Mc Rage, that instead of me alone leaving, the entire active lot of the guild can leave with me, and we join up with the Elite Thievery Co. Your guild is one of my 2 options - The other being the guild William Kid is officer of - the Corsair Covanent.
Now I want the figures - how many members? how many active members? process of joining the guild? process of becoming officer? activity times?

I will answer what I know, but I dont know everything. We have about 450 members, of that, perhaps 40 are active, on regularly. On nights when we have events, or weekends, it is not unusual to have over 20 people on. I personally have never been on without someone else, and I have been a member since about Sept 1.

As for joining the guild, since you are friends with out GM and First Mate, I am going to leave that to them to answer.

To become an officer you are first elected petty officer, which means you can recrute new members, then if you do well, become officer. The other officers are the ones who elect you.

We have at least one guild event a week. For example this week we had a poker night on Wed, then tonight there was a survival regatta. Lots of people participate.

I am sure Eliza, Whale, and whomever else from the guild that swings through will be able to answer more or expand.

Ahoy Midhav, I spoke to Eliza and she should be in contact with you soon.

Jade did a good job laying that out for you. You all would of course be welcome but you would have to start out as members and work your way through our Office program if that be your desire. You can see our rules and tenets on the other site we share in the Guilds section if you need more detail.

I am not sure what you mean by negotiation? Basically you and your mates are free to join. We have a system in place for advancement and we don't circumvent that. Being a GM or Officer in another guild does not give you special privedges in ours. I was an officer in another guild when I joined and me friend was the GM - we started as basic members and over the months have earned our current positions.

i never mentioned the word 'negotiations'. See, Cutthroght has been having the guild Rage's Marauders for a year. He has been having all the good members and the guild is his pride. He had even once been to rank 9 on sinking ships leaderboards, but went down to 60 after privateering came. Jane is his right hand man ( girl actually ). All the previous great members of the Marauders are inactive, and only Jane, me, Cutt and a few others to a lesser extent are active.
Thats one thing that prevents our entire guild form coming. If not then i will come myself.
Our guild has only 197 members. I'm trying to tell him that we will be the Marauders even if we leave to yer guild. He is yet to reply to my message ( on our guild site ).
I'm also trying to highlight the fact that we should think out of the box, forgetting the pride of our guild, and realize it affects my personal game experience, which is why i hardly come online. Since I'm officer, and one of this man's good friends since May of 09, it will also be a bad experience for him if i leave alone, considering that i left the guild once for McRaging....

LOL - sorry the word was "Broker".

I have many friends in other guilds and that seems to work out just fine. I understand though been in several guilds that have failed for one reason of another and it's no fun.

If so, make another pirate of yours a member in the guild and then you can move your 1st or 2nd pirates to the ETC, but remain in touch with your old guild.

An amazing feat I could NEVER have imagined when the handful of loyal officers and myself started this journey back in June.

Blockade Night!
 

Members of the ETC are asked to gather our fleet TONIGHT at 9pm EST for a Blockade of ships from Port Royal (Andaba) to Devi's Anvil as show of force before the coming Expedition Fleets.


Once we've successfully closed off the harbor, we will sail to Cuba, then Padres and finally to Kingshead - sinking ALL in our path!

Ah... that blockade was fun. Great to see so many mates and their ships there.

Survival of the Quickest!!!

Saturday Night on Padres Andaba (Andoso if Full) at 9pm EST.

Get your Light Galleons ready for the sailing equivilant of a demolition derby. Rules are simple race around the course laid out and DON'T GET SUNK!

Sounds easy? Well, you are sailing the slowest vessel in the game in the most dangerous waters in the game.

Three ships will function as bouys at each island and a fourth as the start finish line.

Race will begin at Padres Del Fuego, then AROUND Kingshead, then to the ship in FRONT of Port Royal, AROUND Tormenta and finally back to Padres. The winner is the first ship to survive three laps. If you are sunk, you are out.

If no ships survive - the vessel going the farthest is declared the winner.

League of Guilds!
 

Elite Thievery Co. became an official member of the League of Guilds this past Monday and this Amazon could not be more happy!

Learn how to get the most out of your boom-booms!

ETC members are invited to a special Grenade Skills Workshop Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm EST.

We will be meeting on Kingshead (Ocean to be determined). Experienced players are asked to share their knowledge and wisdom with our newer pirates and help them learn to best level one of the hardest weapons in the game.

It was a double glow for MW..first she turned 28 on her Noto, then with some helps from her guild mates and some friends, MW mastered her fishing. Ty all who helped her reach her first mastered skill....yeppers all that time at sea has paid off.

Marathon Weekend!
 

Marathon Weekend!!

This weekend, the pirates of the Elite Thievery Co. will be putting in the overtime to purge the Caribbean of our enemies! We will have prizes for the most lethal pirates.

Kill-a-thon!! on Saturday, May 22nd

From morning to night, our enemies will quake in their boots as our pirates draw their swords and pistols! The goal is for each member to try and do in up to 500 enemys.

The Top 10 Killer's will be posted the followed day.

Sink-a-thon!! on Sunday, May 23rd

As the sun rises, the ETC will hoist their colours and put as many EITC, Navy and Skeleton ships asunder as our cannons can manage! Our goal is to sink more than 200 ships for each pirate.

Top 10 Sinker's will be posted the next day.

Twelve Months at sea with the ETC!

June 1st, 2010

The Elite Thievery Co. is thrilled to announce its upcoming One Year Anniversary, on June 26th.

More than 500 pirates have been a part of the ETC and have kept the guild growing and evolving. But, from the first handful of pirates to today's gatherings - Elite Thievery strives to keep a family spirit.

Throughout the month of June, the Guild will be holding various events to celebrate; including numerous contests with a variety of pirate-themed prizes.

• Kill-a-thon!
• Sink-a-thon!
• Survival Regatta!!
• Our First PvP Tourney!

Following our T-shirt design contest, we will soon be offering the winning design - featuring a new ETC logo - and sold at cost. We're also having new contests on our web site.

Even non-members are invited to come to our weekly Raids, Pop Raids, Poker Night, Blockade and Fleet Run as well.

This all culminates in our Anniversary pary on the 26th as we hit the taverns - carousing and shouting the name of the Elite Thievery Company all over the Caribbe!

And finally on June 27th, members and former members alike are invited to a special Homecoming Doll Tag game on the rolling lawns of Kingshead.

Day and times of events and contests will be announced on the Elite Thievery Co. website, Pirates Online Forums and the Pirates Association website.

Survival Regatta!
 

The ETC's Survival Regatta will be this Sunday afternoon at 4pm EST. Get your light galleons prepped and your life jackets stowed!

Our infamous Running of the Rust Buckets will be starting from Padres del Fuego on Andoso.

We will go over the rules and route prior to race start.

We will be awarding prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd! Sometimes, just surviving is enough to win!

Pandora wins the Regatta TWICE!!
 

In amazing show of sailing skill, Pandora sailed to victory in both heats of the Survival Regatta, practically coasting ahead of her competitors.

Afterwards, Pandora announced she may retire from racing the Regatta...

Great runs were put in Jack Shipsteel and Solomon Darkfury in Round 1 and Redmenace and Charlotte Firemenace of Black Bart's Krewe were 2nd and 3rd in Round 2.

And in a feat that had NOT yet occurred - NONE of our racers sunk! A Survival Regatta FIRST! Which means only 1 thing. The next Regatta will be FOUR laps - not three.

it was a fun event that BBK was proud to be apart of. Ty EC and ETC for letting BBK come and race with you guys.
