True that Grenades are mostly a mind game. They are similar to potions for me though. Took too big a dose, and can't stand to do either anymore. Ah, the Omens of he who does not care for anything but a powerful weapon. It would seem as if half of us are that man, but we cannot become ourselves again. At least not until we take a break or find it.

My pirate is a lvl 34 but my grenades are only lvl 10 ( didn't use them at all) since my other weapons have lvls is the 20's I thought it was finally time to lvl the nades so I went to outcast and used them on the lvl 30 somethings flytraps (all of the flytraps had red tags) but I still only got 30 rep for each, arent you supposed to get more than that?

You need a healer and Tormenta....tag all the enemies in the middle area and then speed nade them...or the bridge at Torm....for really good reps now at your level. And the treasure room is nice but tricky. Again, dont do it alone yet.

On my next level I get the grenade quest. I will take this guide into consideration. Great job writing it, most guides are poorly written and don't make any sense.

Grenade Tips
I'm not sure if this was covered, because I haven't had time to read through the whole thread, but here goes:
I'm leveling up grenades in Isla Tormenta right now, blowing up Davy Jones' crew in a repetitive fashion. Here is what I have found. If you get the right distance away from a target and have the red circle showing under it, when you throw the grenade they will dodge to the left, and usually escape the blast. What I do is, before I throw I hold down the right mouse button, ease the view to one side or the other just until the red circle disappears. Then I throw the grenade. It lands beside them and does full damage, and they don't react until then. Then I will grenade them further if they are knife-throwers or grenadiers, or pull out another weapon if they come rushing at me. For the sword-wielders, I hit them with throwing knives. It takes a lot of hits, but then again you get a lot of rep for killing them slowly. The rep gets spread out over your grenades and knives (but about 75-80% on the knives.) Another trick I like to do is to use the long volley on a target, the same as above, just to the side. Then, as the target comes rushing up, I lob a grenade at regular distance. They usually run right into the blast, and it finishes them off. I love grenades. I hardly ever lose hit points when I'm using them. Crimson Rose |

Another tactic is to lob a grenade at regular range, then start backing up. The target tends to lag a few steps behind. When I lob the next grenade, it is usually close enough to the target to damage him, but not me. Works pretty good most of the time.
The best fun is against the grenade-throwing undead. They stand off at perfect throwing range - of course - but I usually throw three grenades to their one. Often it's more like 2 or 3 to their none. I'm trying to master grenade and dagger right now. With sword-wielding creatures, I hit them with a grenade just to one side - as above - then use throwing knives to finish them off, while backing up. Crimson Rose |
