I thought the SvS thing was fun, but not near as fun as some of our other activities.

I have been requsted to hold a special event night. So next Wednesday, the 10th, here is the plan:

Tandy's Boss Battle
Prob's Boss Battle
(Yes, Prob is finally gonna do it, he has been holding onto it for a special occasion since June)
Anyone else who may have a Boss Battle
And we will do seperate BB's for each, so that each gets their own!

Anyone Mastering, (Master all weapons)
Anyone Mastering (Level 40)
Anyone Mastering a single weapon

So, anyone who is about to Master anything, or who is near getting a BB, hold it and plan on doing it next Wednesday.

PARTY! All the dancing, and RUM that we can imbibe!


Now, for the 17th, How about a good old fashioned Plunder Party? We haven't had one for awhile, and some of us may need some gold to buy presents!

Speaking of gold, both Basil and Prob are maxed, and I know that Rachel and maybe one or two others are the same way, so anyone who needs some gold, please let us know.

What cracks me up is that there are guilds who CAN"T plan to win a BB.
For us, it would be a catastrophy if we didn't win! LOL


And for everyone,
If Tandykins allows Basil the honor of steering for her:
It will be Basil's 100 time steering
His current record is 84 wins and 15 losses, with 50 wins in a row.
So, Tandy's BB is a milestone for Basil, too. (But not near as significant as Tandy completing the Pearl Quest.)


If Kelly could be ready to Master nades the same night, we could have some REAL partying going on before the evening is over.

Sometime over the next few days, I'd let someone give some gold to Lars, if anyone is willing.

As I said Basil.. will be at Mannheim Steamroller concert...so Kelly won't be able to attend guild night... which is why the pout..... (well not really.. looking forward to the concert)....but still will miss the fun sort of.

And I could give gold to Lars Monday night... np... got lots....

Tandy will post a time for her BB here sometime today, (I Hope).

Prob's BB will work around Tandy's. If I get him ingame before Tandy's schedule, then we will hold it then. If I can't get ingame until the same time as Tandy's, The Prob's will be after hers.

Unfortunately, I doubt I will make it tonight. I have my final report due for English class on Friday and I have vowed to myself that I wouldn't play any PotCO until I got it done. That's some motivation, eh!

Hey guys! OK so Blue won't be home until after 9 PM Hawaii time. :mybadki6: So Tandy is going to hold on to her BB a little longer. It just wouldn't be the same without my Hunny there.) Looks like it may be the first of the year. With family coming to stay ( YAY I get to see my Mom) and the holidays, it would just get too crazy. Besides I want a giant Booze Cruise for my BB, the more the merrier!. At least it will give me something to look forward to when the " Post Christmas Depression " sets in. LOL\

Meghan already hit level 40 on Monday night.
Tandy is gonna hold on to her BB til after the Holidays.
I was only gonna do Prob's BB to make it a night of activities, so I may hold onto it for a while longer. To me, it is just my official last task, and there is no rep in it.
Libby tried to get ready to hit level 40 tonight, but she is going to fall a little short, maybe in the next few days.
No one else posted any Mastering or BB ready,
Hmmmmmm, I will offer this up for Guild night then:
Option 1: Raid on KH. Pillage and plunder for a couple of hours, see if we can make the leaderboards.
Option 2: Standard Plunder Party Night. Prob will take his war fleet out of drydock, and anyone else can do so, too.
Option 3: Guild help night.
Option 4: You tell me!

Piper, you and the other Wenches are always welcome. The only real problem was keeping all the chat straight. You couldn't see all the side convos going on in Guild.

My concert was wonderful.... one of the rare groups that sounds as good in person as they do on their recordings.

Only trouble was the couple behind me yakking... I actually had to turn around and say "Do you really need to talk?" I mean folks.. this was a concert hall.. not a rock concert.

Oh and the lady two seats over from them..who was whispering on her cell phone.

Grrr.... if they were pirates.. I'd for once pvp em and siege nade em all.

Next Wednesday will probably be the last Wednesday night Guild activity night this year.

The following Wed is Christmas Eve, and the one after that is New Years Eve, so I doubt that there will be too many people available for full guild night activites.

With that in mind, I would like to offer up this suggestion for Guild night next Wednesday.
1st) Kelly's final glow. She is only a few rep away from Mastering grenades, and it will be the last of her skills to be Mastered. (You may have noticed that Rose is ingame now.)
2nd) If there is anyone else about to Master, whether it be Level 40, or a single Weapon, or full Mastery, please post here. Boss Battles are also welcome. Anything of major importance that we normally hold a guild event for. I know that Libby is close to level 40, so maybe we can help her get there, if she can be ingame.
3rd) Raid on KH. We take over KH and see if we can empty it of enemies. (And of course, I mean by beating them all, not glitching.)
4th) Christmas/Holiday Party. I would like to have the chance to wish everyone a Happy Holiday in person, rather than the generic posting here on POF. No one gets to sit on the copy machine, tho!


With the thought of these events, especially the Christmas Party, I am inviting anyone from other guilds who would like to , to join us. Our guild nights usually start at about 8:30 to 9:00 Eastern, and continue til everyone gets tired and goes to bed!

Actually, extreme cold weather is a symptom of thinning ozone layers. No thermal capabilities at night, you see. It doesn't matter how many greenhouse gases are floating about, if the ozone is thin and if the sun doesn't come out in the winter, it's frigid! Global warming still exists and is gong to get worse, but the good new is this will eventually lead us into another ice age through the awesome carbon sink (the ocean). More water means more moisture and more moisture in frigid, ozone depleted areas will lead to snow and cooling. Lest we forget the woolly mammoths came AFTER the dino dinosaurs.

Gotta love those natural cycles.

Kelly Mastered Grenades, and it is the last of her skills to be mastered. GRATS Kelly!!! I didn't get the screenies for that, but I'm sure Mary did and will post them.

I'm not sure if Sven Mastered Cannon or not, If he did, I missed it in chat.

Mary had a couple of glows of her own, Notoriety level 37, and at least one weapon glow, Grats to her!

Tandy and Dr Snausage wanted to end the Pearl Quest with their Boss Battle, so we crewed up and took care of business there, too. Grats to both Tandy and Snaus for finishing the Pearl quest.

Then, we did what Dueces do best. PARTY!!

Wednesday night, around 8 to 8:30 Eastern.

I figure to have us ease back into things, so:

We start with Blue Mastering level 40.
Anyone else achieving a major milestone, please let us know.
Follow that with a one or two ship pure Plunder PArty, depending on how many crew we get. Pure gold gathering, not rep or ship count.
Ending with our usual Wednesday night at the tavern, making sure that we all are hung over for Thursday morning.

Another fun night! The BB, after party, and plundering were a much awesome time as always! I did manage to level Adelie's cannons from 3 to 6 and +3000 gold. Wheee!

I may have been enjoying my grenade dance too much which may have caused the smoking. "Put it away before you set yourself on fire," me mum always said.

So I thought the 3 headed pirate/ Davy sandwich was hilarious!!!!

But then I scrolled down... Sven you screenie almost made me fall out my chair!!!

Sorry I had to bug out before the actual Plunder Party part of last night's festivities, but the weather was getting REALLY rough, and I had to take care of business at the house and get some sleep. Turns out, the overnight snowfall wasn't as bad as they predicted.

Next Wednesday,

We have a major milestone to celebrate!
Our 150th member in the guild! Paaaaarrrtaaaayyyyyy!

I have been trying to work out the details for a 2 on 2 PvP double elimination tournament. I know most of us really aren't into PvP or even SvS, but I think it may be a nice change of pace.

So, Anyone who would be interested, form up into teams of 2. Register your team here, so that I can start a spreadsheet for keeping track.

The rules:

I will seed the teams prior to the beginning of the tournament.
Each team will check in, and I will tell you your opponent for that round.
Each round, I will ASSIGN either a single weapon, or no more than 2 weapons that you will be allowed to use during that round.
The two teams will go into PvP, (Not SvS), and do battle. At the end of the round, you will tell me who wins.
A single round tie will be re-fought until there is a definite winner.
Winners will move to the winners bracket, losers to the losers bracket, and opponents will be re-assigned.
TWO losses, and your team is out of the tournament.
We play until there is only one team left with less than two losses.
NO GLITCHING or unauthorized weapons!
Prizes:
5 K in gold to each member of the winning team.
2 K in gold to each member of the second place team.
(That's from Basil, other senior pirates may offer to chip in gold also!)

NOW, if there isn't enough interest to do this: (I'm not going to oragnize and run the tournament unless there are at least 8 teams)

Next Wednesday will be Invade KingsHead night. An attempt to take over the leaderboard for Enemies Defeated. (I know, these can be boring, but they can also be a great way to meet and team up with all the new guildies.)


Upcoming events:

Late January - Scavenger Hunt 2
(I'm still collecting tasks for this, so the date is still tenuous.)
I ask that those who participated in the first Scav Hunt include some of the new members into your teams. It would make the experience better all the way around.

Febuary 11 - Anniversary of the founding of The Elite Circle
(For those of you who don't know it, DW is the offspring of TEC. When TEC lost our GM, we kept it running for over 3 months, then finally moved almost all the members over to DW.)


As always: Any Mastering, Milestone Leveling, Boss Battles, whatever, please let me know and they will be scheduled and celebrated!

Have a question for the guild regarding Guild nights.

It has been brought to my attention that some of our guildies are addicted to the TV show "Lost", and that Lost is coming back on TV next week. Some, a couple, guildmates are curious if guild night is cast in stone as Wednesday.

I originally chose Wednesday for my own convenience, so I am open to suggestions.

Anyone who would like to suggest any particular night for us to hold our guild events, please let me know, by posting here. I am open to any and all suggestions, and I feel that majority should rule.

Now I will plead my case: I don't feel that Friday, Saturday or Sunday are good nights for guild activities. Family events and other personal factors would prevent quite a few of our group from participating. Other than those nights, I am pretty much open to suggestions.

I think I can pretty much be there any night. Wednesday is actually a bad night for me too now until May because I'll be taking a first-aid/cpr training course that goes from 6 pm to about 9 pm central.
