The Links in your posts you pulled and were actually direct links, the others were of cached pages (not allowed - the IP can then be spoofed / changed later). :)

I probably could of cleaned up the post - but it got caught up in the removal of the others and thats why I posted the link we have here for them already :) No bad on you ;)

Thanks for clarifying. The post I was referring to (looks like it was removed) had an unauthorized URL that redirected to what appeared to be a "hacked" version of the main Disney site with download links to an executable file.
The cache isn't really a 'hack' per/sey... but as it was an IP based address it is not alowed.

I didn't find that cached link. I fail to see how that is "unapproved" as it links only to the official Disney place to (re-)download it, to check to see if you are authorized on test. I for one, had no way of knowing the main thread here has now been updated (for the longest time, it wasn't.)

At any rate, anyone who has not checked their TEST server access, probably should, by following the link Maximvs provided.

Um, no. Google cache is not "hacking" by any stretch of the imagination. The executables linked are the official Disney TEST server executables, from the original Disney page.

Ok.....the post I was referring to (now removed) was circumventing the system. That was my point. I did not test the links on the URL that were posted to see if they did point to the same executable file. I believe the intentions of that post were to allow anyone to download and attempt to setup a new Test Server Account. If that is was Disney wanted, surely those links would still be active today at piratesonline.com. I'm not dragging this thread out like the Jumper in PVP....lol....just clarifying. Thanks.....

There was no "circumvention" at all. The google cache link that he provided pointed to the Official Disney announcement with the Official Disney download links to the Official Disney TEST executables so that the few people here who said they thought they missed out, can test their Official Disney test authorization and Official Disney test server access.

It's not like the Mac users that said they thought they missed out, aren't needed on test. There are at least four threads here on POF alone, demonstrating that Mac users didn't get sufficient test server opportunity, recently.

Those links....are not "officially" available today on the Disney web site if you go to piratesonline.com. I understand your point....but I have one as well. I do know the links were not active for very long and that in itself upset a lot of folks. Trying to make up for a missed opportunity....understandable. However, the approach taken in the forum was obviously removed for a valid reason.

*I'm not quoting all of that...*
Its simple - the pages are removed (hence cached pages are not live pages) - making them now UN-official Disney Pages. The Address was IP based - it is not allowed and against Forum Policy. Continuing to make this out of porportion from posting an IP address to a larger issue will require the thread deleted.

Please read my previous post. along with the information in my post on Page 1 for links and information.

Erm, thanks then, for posting the official link that says the same thing and removing the heinous raw IP address.

Well that almost gave me a headache, good thing I have a beverage.

I will point out something that was confusing to me. The first link Max post is a dead link, and doesn't work to the test. The other leads you to the new version, and is the sticky on this helm page.

Yep, the first link is now broken (actualy removed by D - see next line) , and I changed my post to refer to the Sticky in the Helm instead.

The link in the first thread was to their open invite, and they removed it later.
