Ever since the tortuga update I cannot get on the game without getting hit with extreme lag, sigh.

I don't like the way they redesigned Tortuga, bleh. However, I really love the new Port Royal except for the fort. It's huge yet holds very little enemies. Everything else seems groovy to me, except there are a lot of bugs: whispers are broken, it doesn't tell you friend requests are accepted, the game crashes while you're sailing, etc, etc...

I like the updates but I don't think disney intended to add more lag to the game with these updates.
They wanted to decrease lag but I've had more than ever.

And why downgrade the character shape? If they don't add an option in to change the character shape then I know i'll be playing a game where devs don't care what the players think.

The least they could do is get some better servers. I know a few other games with good/great graphics that don't lag as much as POTCO.

I think, after watching the year birthday of a character come and go of reaching level 40. He has nothing now to do that he didn't then, worth while. He has lost damage to skills and pvp environments.

Ive been playing for almost a year now and every new player thinks these updates will last because of the fewer glitches. personally i liked old islands because of the old tortuga beach where ppl did pvp glitch.

to me more like.......10-15mins of seeing what's new testing it then closing pirates and playing something else...heheheeheheh

I hate the new tortuga and port royal, i don't know where to go to get to fort charles or anything, it is so annoying:dj93cahgvrs1ca0fcck

the new layout is fun, BUT
it does not enhance gameplay in any way
they mock us, every time we scream for content
they give us a shirt or a bandana or some meat
I dropped to basic while talking to one of their reps online
I told her I would stay a paying founder if they would
guarantee content sometime in the next six months
(this was a month and a half ago) she put me on hold
for a few minutes came back and told me no guarantee
and took away my paid status before I could do anything
I can not go sailing all the ships I own are locked out
as well as my advanced weapons. I can't do squat
because they did not let me arrange my character so I
could play in basic mode. I have not been on potco in a month
I spend more time here than there

The new updates seem pretty user-freindly; however, they've come WAY too late to be of any use to anyone.

Fab or Flop?
 

Well if you'd all played from the first beta stages would you know how much better the game is now. I personally like the way they've changed Tortuga, Port Royal and now Padres. So it takes a while to find everything again, but I was bored with the old towns and welcomed the changes.
I've maxed a couple of pirates and am waiting on the new notoriety cap raise as well as the coming of the kraken and other things mentioned, but in the mean time I help friends and guild mates or sink ships, play poker etc for the leaderboards.
The events are always fun too. I got to catch Shamus and he gave me his gold and a photo oportunity lol.
I love the game, bugs and all and will continue to play it regardless, as I've made some great friends through this game. I always find things to amuse myself :agapirateju3::agapirateju3::agapirateju3:

I have been playing on and off since Feb 08. I welcome the new changes, at first I was a little iffy but now I just roam around the new towns familiarizing myself with everything.
