For example, you send your army to attack "X" and when it gets attacked - a "trigger" there forces the computer to start pumping out soliders. Another trigger at location "Y" may make the computer start an advance to attack your armies (if you've given him an army to atack with :) )

There are basically two builders - the Multiplayer Builder and the Scenario Builder. It sounds like you built the Multiplayer Builder (which then you have to play the map in Multiplayer Mode for the computer to use the map - otherwise the towns will just sit "empty"). You can play these and the computer will use them if you play the maps in Multiplayer (just choose all computer players - and make sure each as a Town Centre, enough food, wood, stone and gold to start with and three Villagers so he can get working).

Im building with the standard screnerio editor and P.S is there any guides on this

Blacksmoke81 05-03-2009 01:23 AM

ya i have all 3 kinda play online and its fun and detailed

EdwardTeach 05-03-2009 06:25 PM

Is it possible to make a campaign with a cutscene in the editor?

League 05-04-2009 04:33 AM

Probably: I've seen quite the scenarios on ESO. You could practically make a movie if you wanted to.

EdwardTeach 05-04-2009 08:40 PM

but how do you make one?

Phooey on AoE and it's sequels, I want the ultimate game:

Age of Bunnies

Failing that, maybe Elmer's game, WabbitCwaft

Empire Earth was decent with the units and all, though that only had 3 collective periods with 5 civs for each of those periods. I'm thinking that nuclear units should not be something you can build, because any attempt by Empire Earth to make atomic weapons was cheesy. As well, as far as I know, there have only been two bombings, so eh. It could be something that you build up, and be like some sort of score or something.

I have a million more ideas of a kind concerning Age of Empires: I'd probably like to make my own version some day.

I know what you mean! I have EE2 and agree that it is stupid that when you fire Nukes, it dosen't even destroy one large building sometimes. I was doing a lvl in the american campaign and I kept launching Nukes at a building and it never blew up. In real life, the can destroy miles of land. I think I was soposed to capture the building or something. I forget because because I dont play Empire Earth any more so, eh. It would be just as cheasy in AOE 4 and it would be a decline in the most historicaly accurate game! I rarely play it anymore though, usually only the campaign or multiplayer; guess wat game I play now! :SkullBullet1: Bet ye cant guess maytey!:pirate_smiley_capta

EE2 also has the space "water," cheesily done as well. Some of the stuff in the future though was cool, like the secret police (can't recall if that was specific to a campaign, or in the first EE).

Thinking of the space has brought to mind an interesting idea: what if you played on a globe? The standard sky view would apply, though the thing would rotate: it'd b the only true effective way to get space items in there. Still, we're talking about Age of Empires, which, being realistic, only delves in what has already happened (and not in what probably won't).

Hey Teach, I can PM you my brother's account name if you want. You could play each other sometime.

Sure! That will be great!

Age of Empires is great! I still play all three, though rarely online. Empires Earth was ok, tried it a few times. Have any of you checked out 0AD?

League 05-14-2009 01:45 AM

I sure haven't. What it tis?

EdwardTeach 05-30-2009 05:33 PM

Its a historical strategy game with campaigns, multiplayer, skirmish, and city costomization. Google it!

Hebe12 12-12-2009 09:03 PM

I own the second and third and love them. I have never played the first.
But I like Age of Mythology the most!
