The current Explosive-using ships have ALWAYS had that set. They are:

French/Spanish Cerberus
Corsair
Behemoth
Juggernaut

No other ship uses these.

Were you a Sloop, Galleon, or Damaged-Hull Frigate? What level were/are you?
I don't see how a Warlord can do THIS much damage unless you have one of the lower level ships.

These level sets were ALWAYS this way. Warlords have been Lv33-35, Ferrets Lv1-4, Ironwalls Lv20-22. I don't see a difference except some of these ships have stopped being spawned as flagships. Ships such as the Ironwall Flagship.

Possibly by all of the sunken EITC Ships of late been broken? 1, I don't know what that means. 2, I don't understand lol.

Honestly, dude. God ships? The only GOD SHIP out there is the Goliath, and he can't even be found in the open sea. Disney should make the Goliath spawn in the Uncharted Waters wherever a Juggernaut spawns. That way, if you see a Navy Goliath, there's an EITC Juggernaut

Your joking right?

I kinda agree on that, but heres my idea.
Ships just shouldn't spawn in the spot your in. That's it.

Yes, you have. The current ships that can reach Lv40 or are Lv40 are:

Dreadnought
Behemoth
Death Omen
Juggernaut

Actually, not at all. All ships have the same strength they've always had.

Yeah, I wish we could use other types of ammo for our broadsides. Although, if Disney ever decides to do so, they should lower the Explosive Damage for broadsides. It would be too easy to sink any ship with that kind of firepower.

This is my way to dodge ammo:

Steo 1:
Engage in battle with the ship.
If you are going forward, and the enemy ship shoots to where you are going to ( Fig. 1 ), go in reverse. The ship should keep shooting in front of you while going in reverse ( Fig. 2 ).

Step 2:
If the ship begins to shoot at you while going in reverse ( Fig. 3 ), go forward. The ship should keep shooting behind you ( Fig. 4 ).

Figure 1:

X <\[][][][][]/

Figure 2:

XXXXXXX \[][][][][]/>

Figure 3:

\[][][][][]/> X

Figure 4:

<\[][][][][]/ XXXXXXX

Key:
X = Where the Cannon shot hits.

\[][][][][]/ = The ship.

\[][][ = Front.

][][]/ = Back.

< = The ship moves forward.

> = The ship moves backward.

Sorry for the long post lol.

Nope, me not noob, Im master and for sometime sank Warlords no problem and took very little damage. Whether my War Galleon had glitched, admittedly I often use my War Frigate, but was feeling greedy that day as Galleon has more Cargo.
I will remember to hit F9 next time It happens again.

CarribeanThunder 07-14-2009 01:37 PM

Your ship must be rigged lol. What were you doing at sea BEFORE the fight with the Warlord?

Taking care of a French Crow Flagship. But thinking about it, it may have been a Juggernaut.... maybe. Though Im sure it was a Warlord. IF it was a Juggernaut might explain why my War Galleon got taken down easily. But hey as previously posted it happened, Im sure there's been all sorts of wonderful and interesting glitches that has happened! Such as sailing through islands??

Most likely a Juggernaut, I don't remember Warlords spawning there. Anyway, Juggernauts are capable of taking down a war Galleon in 1-2 ammo rounds ( both Firebrand and Explosives all hit ). So, if you got hit by everything it shot, it may get you to from full to half or less.

CarribeanThunder 07-30-2009 05:48 AM

So, have you still been having this problem?

Nope, guess it was a one time only occurence!

Eliza Creststeel 07-30-2009 03:07 PM

The original point was that some enemies have gotten more aggressive, not that any of us are bad sailors, Thunder.

What I've encountered:

The French and Spanish ships are now using Explosive rounds, they weren't before.
Death Omen and Harbinger are firing their Fury broadsides at a fast rate of recharge.
Corsairs and Predators often hit with Explosive and no effects register while in combat.
Behemoths and Colossus firing Explosives more often

Not to say I got plowed, just surprised by the increase. And honestly I like to see it to add to any challenge.

CarribeanThunder 08-09-2009 07:26 AM

Wai- wai- wait a minute. Your telling me, that Colossuses and Predators are using Explosives? When they're just burning me to death?
Death Omen and Black Harbingers' Fury Recharge Rates, that I can somewhat understand, but as far as I know, Predators and Colossuses don't use Explosives, unless I've missed something...
Predator: All Firebrand.
Colossus:
Upper: Firebrand.
Broadside: Roundshot.

Also, only the French/Spanish Cerberus use Explosives, unless, again, I've missed something...

French/Spanish Shadow Crow:
Upper: Fury.
Broadside: Roundshot.

French/Spanish Blood Scourge:
Upper: Thunderbolt.
Broadside: Firebrand.
If I have missed something, please, do tell me. And sorry to sound like I'm saying your lying :P

Edit: I forgot to add, the Death Omen and Harbingers tend to use one upper cannon Fury shot after another. Like this:

1-------2-------3
x-------x-------x

1-2-3 = Means the order of the round fired ( Example ).
x = The cannon.

I find most War Frigates do rapid fire.

Its possible youve missed something. A broadside of firebrand cant take my war frigate down to half its health in one broadside, having experienced this a few times with the Colussus, I concluded it was explosive, and not firebrand, unless firebrand damage got turned up IMMENSELY.

Shnoodell 08-09-2009 02:56 PM

I havent seen explosive on collosus but like you said its all possible but I am possitive that there are explosives on predators, i like to stay away from those ;-)

CarribeanThunder 08-09-2009 07:37 PM

If you see JUST BLACK cannons, that's Explosive. I'm sure these dudes ( Colossus/Predator ) don't have Explosives.

Zep, you could be right, but if you see a large stream of fireballs flying right up from your hull, it was an Explosive that hit.
I think I'll go out to a Colossus and Predator, and see how they work, I'll be back in a few with my findings.

Dr. Zeppers 08-09-2009 07:47 PM

I know what you mean when you describe explosive, seen it many a times.
Cant remember all the circumstances of the priors I was referring to, just that I filed it away as them using explosive when your too close.

CarribeanThunder 08-09-2009 07:55 PM

Ah, I see what you mean. Thanks for clearing things up.

kageroumaru 11-12-2009 07:31 PM

hmm... i dont like it.... im not really a noob but i really actually never understood the reason that they have fury, firebrand and thunderbolt broadsides... why cant we have them? is that too much to ask? put a lil fairness? but anyways... the ships arent reallly stronger... they just have faster recharge rates and fireing rates.. the damage themselves are the same
