1) Cloverfield... Blair Witch but louder!
7) The Jason Films, The Freddy Films, and the Halloween films.

I agree with all of them except these.

Cloverfield wasn't really made to be a horror movie. It was really more mysterious than scary. Also, it reminded me more of the old Godzilla movies than anything else.

Also, I think the first Jason, first Nightmare on Elm Street, and first Halloween movies were all good. Maybe not the first Jason, but the other two were really good. Then all three sort of went down hill.

P.S.No remake of psycho will ever be better than the original. All the movies today use action, violence, and gore to entertain us. The first Psycho made you think. Your imagination made the movie scary or not. That's what makes a good scary movie. Seeing everything doesn't make it scary, just gross, because your imagination can't scare you and make you think of the worst thing possible.

Ok I didnt like Psycho but I agree with what you are saying. Gore doesn't = scary. The curb scean in American History X makes me go uuggghh and I cant hear "Stuck in the middle with you" without seeing the ear part of Resevoir Dogs LOL but not scary. Sure these are not equal to Saw and such but still gore isnt going to keep me up at night.

I'm gonna need some time to come up with movies but go ahead and put down

KILLER CLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE lol
