I haven't played in a while since nothing much has changed. I'm waiting for huge updates, like a new story, new ships, new islands, and other stuff like that.

I play but since I have long ago finished all the quest and grinding rep gets old this usually comes in the form of SvS or helping others( guild members, friends or just some random lvl 5 getting ready to be offed by a flytrap).

Some chatting. :piratear:
But my main objective when I log on is to play the game, may that be playing or helping, live or test. Have plenty to do with all my pirates to keep me busy even without new content. But dont get me wrong, love the new content and being able to be on test and see just what it's all about before it's released to everyone else.

Used to be I'd log in an play with a point for hours on end. :degen: Lately, when I hop on it's to shoot the breeze, maybe heal a buddy. I do not have a single Mastered pirate, and that's cool. I figure, if you're not in it for fun, what's the point? A few levels? An empty journal? Nah, play for the love of the game. Levels, skills, those things just happen in time. I don't play, I chat. :pirate30:

I've been playing more lately, I don't know how long it'll last, lol, but for now I am. (:

Bonnylass64 12-01-2009 04:53 AM

I don't play as much as I used to. When the invasions first came I was on a lot. Now, I don't seem to time it right. so I am on sometimes while I wait for new content.

Bladehawk 12-19-2009 12:39 AM

of course helping other pirates! :D
i love it!!

Just trying to keep myself busy while we all wait for new content. If the second story quest doesn't come before my subscription ends then I'm done wasting my money for a while.

I felt that way too, Iron. When my first pirate reached 40 (the max at the time) in March of '09, my buddies kept telling me to start a new pirate - I cringed at the thought of going through all that again.

When me best pal started a new one, I relented so that we could quest together - and strike up a little friendly leveling competition. That was in April. Now (8 months later) I have 6 pirates on 2 accounts. One has mastered at 50 (me second pirate, not me first Kat Five Knives)

Here is what I have discovered
* The first is the hardest. You are learning the game, having to ask everyone where the dig spots are, trying to find a guild in which you are comfortable.
* Start a new pirate with a mate. It's so much fun to level together and help one another. A little friendly competition doesn't hurt either ( have to check his levels every time I log on)
* Find a good guild - don't go it alone unless you really are a loner. A good guild and a decent friends list is better than gold.
* The second (third, fourth...) time around is SO MUCH EASIER and fun - because you know what to expect and what you are doing.

That's me 2 cents :)
Happy pirating Mate:pirate_flag:

I play a little. I have eight pirates on two accounts. One level 50 she does invasions, when friends want her BB's, PVP and Privateering. Really have no desire to master them all. I try to keep them at different levels to play with different friends. I will delete small pirates when they hit level 20.:piratetongueor4: Can you guess why? Yep grenades. I have three pirates in the high thirty range with seige charge, I cannot bring myself to delete them because of all the work put into tossing grenades. Two of them also have the older body types before potco gave everyone a more realistic shape aka a little belly fat, bigger booty and smaller treasure chest. Since I cannot make pirates like them again they will stay.

But like many players my master gets dusty and makes rare appearences.

And the little ones level up faster every time. I want new challenges, disney better deliver or I can go basic and wait. Little basic pirates can get everything but dagger and I am doing that now anyway.:napoleon:

I have 4 pirates-only one Noto 50. Have a difficult time getting the other ones leveled up because Lizzy is so Bizzy..lol But, I was never in a hurry, anyways. I just play to have fun & chat with my friends.

I agree...no hurry, just have fun... its funny how those people who sped to get to lvl 50 or higher are now stuck at those lvls...unless Disney raises the cap again, they can't lvl at all...even if they could lvl weapons, that's wasted notoriety rep.

Sometimes I have been in a hurry in fear that Disney will decide to get rid of the game before I can master.
