If so... well that sort of stinks. Some pirates want to keep what they had, those that want new ones can start over again if they want new ones that badly!
What im really wondering is, who complained about this? Why are they spending time on THIS?

I think this is what happens when they get flooded with ideas/suggestions.
All the easier ones get picked out, take all their time, and there is never time left for the worthwhile harder requests.

Maybe another idea is to make it so we can change our body types. But not be able to change the gender of the pirate, that would have to stay the same.

I agree, they should add new bodies types as additional options (do not change existing). Would be nice for us to take our pirates to the "gym" and change their body types if we desired.

Ugh...I do NOT like the new bodies! They're even thinner than before. The waist is straighter, but they're basically rails through the hips. The profile's changed, too...

I just want my old (original) body back. You know, the one with polygons. :blink8:

But but.. it looks like my pirate may have finally put some meat on his bones! I'm so lanky... I must have scuuuuuuuuuurvvy! :pirate91:

LoL I just meant the female models. ;)

Obviously they have all of them, though, so why not let us choose? Frankly I think it's pretty stupid for D to change them at all - we picked them for a reason, right? Or, do they think I made a mistake when I chose what was, at the time, a relatively normal/healthy looking body, and that I must have wanted something really skinny instead?

And seeing as we have settings for everything else, why not the pirate models? If they're worried about lag that's fine, but at least let me see my own pirate in all her polygonal glory.

Well my usual pirate on test, which was a fine strappin lad, ready to take to the seas, sink ships, fight undead etc...

Now he looks like hes been on vacation eating pancakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while sitting on his butt watching Gilligans Island reruns.

Why are they messing with pirate models at all?

It's the new content they promised!

Nelly Darkpaine 07-22-2009 10:06 PM

Maybe we should start calling it 'new DIScontent' rather than content. Who complained about avatars? More choices maybe, but geez, thats back burner stuff when players need something to do.

Now we can stand around and look, err.. different? Since I certainly can't say better.

Leave it to Disney - ask for a notor increase, they fix what ain't broken. Maybe they think that we will all get excited and forget about things when we see the loader DOWNLOADING something.

I have an idea!!!!

Lets ask them for PIRATE MODEL CHANGES!!!!!!!

(maybe we'll get new content instead)

I submitted it as a bug to them. From my perspective, they made things even LESS realistic.

With all this talk about how pirates are being "misshapen" I fear mines dream of being in the WWE will be crushed...

Sven Osymthe 07-22-2009 10:50 PM

Leave it to Ed to still find humor in our pirates time of need... lol

Deadpool 07-22-2009 10:52 PM
