I chart my own course. My allegiance is to myself and a select (very) few pirates who have proved their mettle. Be it Jolly Roger or Captain Walter, they'll both be cut with equal ease by the sharp edge of my blade.

Im on the pirates side, and no other. The fact that the Marceline Guild are pirates does not make them any better, Casa Muertos guild were pirates as well. I dont see any particular role of NPCs here any more important than any other pirate (other than the importance people give them as game GMs).

Working the Casa Muertos guilds quests, in no way means you are siding with Jolly Roger or Lord Beckett (I had to defeat EITC in those quests also if you didnt notice).

Barbossa was cursed/undead at one point in the movies, and look at him now. I dont see anyone claiming Barbossa is siding with JR (and he has technically already been in JRs army, from one perspective).

Other than allegiance to other pirates, I do not think there is anything in the "code" pertaining to pirates allegiances to others.

Very True, but still, what I think is that, when it all comes down to it, if I was forced to choose, well, That would be a secret on who I would side with. (depends on who's holding me captive, he he)

Just because a pirate did the Casa quests, as Zep said, does not mean they are siding with Roger and Beckett. I did the quests not to betray the Marceline guild and pirate kind (although Captain Walter isn't exactly my favorite guy >.>), I did it for the gold and reputation. I'm a pirate, and anything that benefits me, I'm going for it.

Of course, I'm still a pirate, and just because the sight of Captain Walter makes my eye twitch, does not me I'm flying tattered sails and shooting lightning at light sloops. I'm a pirate, and I stand by that. I'm ready to fight Jolly Roger until my Cutlass rusts and my pistol barrel falls apart."Well! Let em' come on! We're arm'd!"

I would join Jolly Roger for your reason =)
