And Finally if Gm's are playing the game and not working on new content, it gives me another reason to be mad at Disney,
Everybody deserves a break. It wouldn't be fair for them to say "You need to play ALL the time!", would it? I'm sure the GM's don't just go out in public to entertain us, but also to just give them something else to do other than working hours on hours with program codes.

And, what EXACTLY is the definition of playing the game? Do you consider it leveling up? Grinding weapons? Completing quests? Or just, you know, playing, be a part of, the game. Like I stated, its highly probable that the GM's drop in for no apparent reason, to entertain both themselves, AND us. So, do they level, quest, etc.? Likely not. Do they play the game? Yup, whether it be on the GM pirates, and/or their own accounts.

I think that statement refers to them playing while on the clock. Or during business hours.

I don't believe they play as the GM characters. Those characters are specific to the events. Every one of them is the same notoriety level, with the same skill levels.

If the people behind the curtains do play, they don't use the GM characters, and none of us would ever know who they were.

opf course

of course they are invisable how do you think you get banned for saying bad words besides sometimes gms can be regular pirates without the gm sign gms are like a cop and the invisable gms are a undercover cop

We get banned for chat by auto filters, not people. They have a computer system to detect words not in their dictionary. It's this computer that flags bad chat for review, or in sever cases instant bans. It isn't invisible GMs.

Basil,

The GM's are all different notoriety level's. And yes, I to belive they play the game, not in GM character, but as thier own.

I believe the GM's do play but under the disguise of other pirates that we all see on site everyday. Who knows if the pirate fighting next to you is not actually a GM? Besides, how could they take us on adventures(as some of them do) if they didn't actually play? Knowing the lay-out of the game is alot different then playing it. I could read a book on surgery, but would highly doubt that I could operate! Just my 2 cents....

Most GMs are level 38, with level 25 weapons. There are exceptions (i.e. Shamus O'malley, level 23 I think) but most of the GMs, for example Captain Walter, Xavier Hench, Ben Bowman, James Howe, and most of the EITC "black guard" GMs have been a single preset level.

Jack Chainward 02-01-2010 10:02 PM

I believe so i don't know why they wouldn't, some may not some might

Beg to differ Jason. The good captain Walters is lvl 47. Sandra Tee is a lvl 38. And the EITC Black guard range in lvl's. End of my posting in this thread.

He was (and still is listed under DxD as) 38. As are most of the GMs. A while back I looked up every single GM I saw or heard of and a huge majority were identical levels. Maybe they have different levels now since the cap increase, but they are still preset and not earned. The GM pirates are not played except in events, to believe they are is ludicrous. If the devs/staff play they do so on different pirates.

Jason,

sorry to disappoint you, but DXD does not work and has not for quite a while.
check the captain Walter interview at disney potco.

Sorry, but believe it or not, DxD has not always been broken - it was working perfectly fine when their preset levels were identical.

C Ray was only disputing your claim that all GMs were lvl 38. He agrees with you that the GMs are preset and if they play it's as thier own personal pirates. DxD did work at one time but has been broken for awhile. Last time I saw Captain Walter he was lvl 46 and Captain Rott was 45.

GMs can be whatever level they want to be so I don't see the point of arguing about that or that it makes any difference.

You can look at Dr. Zepper's pics from his ETIC Interrogations gallery to see the varied lvls of the EITC Black Guard.
