Just to be clear. All these new ships are on test only? If so Can't wait to face them!

In the mean time I will search the areas listed just in case!

You are correct. These ships are only on test as of yet. I would say that the Navy Bastion is the least of a threat out of the new ships, as it is easy to sink. However, it does do a lot of damage.

You are excused.

If they have these ships which unlike JR have actual (very high) levels... Is it possible we may see these ships out in the open water some day? Not as part of the fleet, but solo?

Well, there's the Navy Bastion, which respawns in specific locations ( Like any other ship ). In my opinion, I'd say this is the start of much higher level ships. Remember how when the highest level used to be Lv40, and yet the Behemoth, Death Omen, Goliath and Juggernaut all broke that level cap. Now the highest level is Lv50, and these enemies have broken the Lv50 cap. So, I'd say Disney is planning on adding more than just these.

Is it possible we may be able to buy, after warships, Ships of the Line? (Yes, quite certain it would require another level cap raise an a major one at that. Also a gold cap raise or elimination. I'm guessing these ships would be insanely expensive.)

I would have to agree. It would be really awesome to drive ships like these. The only ship we get to drive so far that isn't a Sloop, Galleon or Frigate, is the Black Pearl, which has its own unique design. Hey, you never know...

Just a random thought here. :D

Comments are within the quote, in bold.

Hi Hawke - there is a lvl 59-61 Navy Galleon ship "Bastion" that is out sailing in open water on test. So it's coming.

Can't wait for more ships. So let me get this straight... This is like an invasion, where you kill ol' Jolly, but it encompasses the whole of the Caribbean's waters? Amazing. The Brethren Court's sea power would be really useful right about now...

It's similar to an Invasion, in that you have to sink all the ships to end it, but it doesn't have the same concept.

1: There are only 5-6 ships ( 4-5 EITC Tyrants ( War Frigate - Lv69-71 ) and the one Ship Of The Line ( Same design as the Goliath - Lv79-81 ). These ships are usually in one area. Check your Map ( I call it the Sea Chart ), and look for the red line that appears when you get an announcement saying the EITC Expedition Fleet has set sail.

2: The EITC Tyrants are extremely dangerous - more so than your Ship Of The Line ( Leviathan, Conquerer, Intrepid, etc. ).
*These guys can shoot much farther away than any normal ship possibly could, and they do a TON of damage. They take some time to take down, but you'll manage it.
*The EITC Tyrant is basically a much more powered up version of the EITC Juggernaut, in that it has Firebrand as the upper deck cannons, and Explosives as it's Broadsides. Take them down quickly.
*The EITC Tyrant will move quickly, even without it's sails. If you want a clear shot at it, worry about taking out the front sail only so that you can fire at it without the Front Sail being in the way. Otherwise, shooting the other sails will be a waste of ammo.
*Be warned: Shoot any of the group of 5-6 ships, and they will all attack you.
*The EITC Tyrant will shoot at anyone who fires at them, and their shots become well spread out if they have multiple targets - making the sea a pirate-themed shoot-out between the Pirates and the EITC.
*If you sink the Ship Of The Line before all the Tyrants are down, a random Tyrant will get the treasure of the Ship Of The Line ( you'll know who has the treasure when you see a symbol of a Royal Chest above the ship ).

3: The Ship Of The Line will take very long to sink, so assemble a large crew of some good cannoneers, and hope that there are others sailing nearby to help destroy the SOTL and the EITC Tyrants.

4: As far as I know, the Ships Of The Line, which are the EITC Leviathan, EITC Conquerer, and EITC Intrepid, have different types of ammo. From what I've seen with the [Conquerer or the Leviathan], it only used it's broadsides, which are apparently like the Upper Deck cannons, in which they are quicker than the broadsides.

5: As you might or might not know, our enemy is Lord Beckett, even though he himself has no appearance like Jolly Roger does.

Thanks for the information, Thunder.

Do you have any new screenshots? I've been looking for a while now, and can't seem to be on when a fleet has set sail.

Sven Osymthe 02-21-2010 04:25 PM

I have a screen of one of the earlier fleets (before they made it more difficult). This is towards the end (we had 2 light sloops and we're making sure the EITC won :D). If I find any better shots, i'll post them.

Other than the one Sven put up, there should be some on the first page of the thread. There are more to come too.

I also posted one on:
http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...ad.php?t=14878

By the way, Sven, which Ship Of The Line was that in the picture?

Sven Osymthe 02-21-2010 09:45 PM

The ship was the EITC Intrepid.

Nate Swordwalker 02-22-2010 01:58 AM

Well im a lvl 50 and im officially scared of POTCO. These ships are insane... and how much damage do you even do with EVERYONE on your ship using explosive?!

Cya in the Caribbean...

May the Schwartz be with you...

Like I said in an earlier post, using a high powered explosive would probably only do a small bit of damage, and take off a small bit of green on their Hull Health Bar. It isn't that bad if you have a good bunch of gunners, as well as having other ships nearby to take out the EITC Tyrants.

Captain Sureshot 02-22-2010 08:50 PM

back on topic, I'm really liking the new ships, but the Expedition Fleet ships were crazy hard on test a few minutes ago.

MacIronhawk 02-23-2010 05:36 AM

Thanks for the pictures in the other thread, Thunder!

Now, does anyone have information for when these fleets "set sail". For the past few days I've been trying to figure out when the fleet goes out to see them but... no luck.

Are there any set times, or is it random?

Can't wait until the fleets go open! Man, this new ship of the line is making me jealous. I really want to sail a ship like that!

Sven Osymthe 02-23-2010 01:23 PM

They are random. I'd assume that once it is finished being tested, there will be set times, like the invasions.

Captain Whale 02-23-2010 02:54 PM

Well since the Fleet event is tied into the Rott Quests storyline I would think it will continue to be a random event. I like the idea of scrambling the guild and pirates to our ships and sailing out to do battle at a moments notice. Adds to the excitement I think. Sailing up to the fleet when it's in battle is an awesome site to be sure. Ships everywhere, cannon shot flying all over the place, ships on fire - glorious battle mayhem at sea!!

my two cents - Captain Whale
