Eh, back on topic (love the new avvie tho Speedy) just because we are between two movies doesn't mean we are stuck. Sure, we can't kill certain things or people, but there is much more we can do. How about incorporating our pirates into the story? If any of you have played The Force Unleashed, it takes place between episodes III and IV of Star Wars, and look. The character you play as actually MOVES the story line along. For those of you that don't know about the game, you actually help create the rebel alliance, which is a key part of those later episodes.
Sorry to sound like a total Star Wars nerd, but my point is this. What if we actually help move the setting from POTC 1 to POTC 2, actually making us PART of the story, which is even better! We aren't stuck! There are so many possibilities! |

Agreed, Midhav! ^
Also agreed with Davy with that there are tons of possibilities. In the future there could be amazing things released in the game that we couldn't even imagine. At least I really hope so! |

Now, if PotCo is "less successful than anticipated", I should be worrying right now of the fate of this game But based on what you referenced to, PotCo was of course omitted. But think about in this way. Even POtCo's "highly successful, fast progressing" game Toontown was not mentioned over. They probably stated CP and WoC's driving of the game as an example. But either way, I believe that Disney will pump in more money for developers by the time the 4th film would have released, to make the game serve as a better marketing tool for the series. Well I'm not counting on it... but it seems to be going that way, since the famed 2nd chapter hasn't come out yet (making it seem as though they want a 2011 release). |
