I think what disney is doing (making new weapons like potions and fishing) is better than raising the level max. I also really like the new island and the story quest.

I disagree. I think with all the new high level weapons being introduced into the game they will have to raise the max level past 50. With higher weapons probably means higher bad guys in the future which would make raising max level a must.

There are currently many high level and maxed pirates around the caribbean and soon they will start to lose interest if they can't move any higher than lvl 50.

very true, and raising the littler pirates gets boring after a bit, needs to raise the max i lost interest in my other 50 pirate when i maxed my other one

so would you guys like to grind to the next mastered pirate level i think not i want what they promised kraken story quest 2 emphasis on 2 with just as long as pearl with kraken as boss battle and sea monsters randomly in the ocean

metal1081 10-11-2010 10:45 PM

Yes I would actually. Especially if they don't put out a new storyline chapter for awhile then they should raise the max level so lvl 50 pirates can come back to the game and get rep again finding famed/legendary weapons and grinding existing weapons.

If they don't then those same pirates will quit playing the game and not pay for it if they can't get any higher levels out of it.

So either way with or without a storyline update yes they should raise it past lvl 50. Level 60 would work.

metal1081 10-13-2010 11:13 PM

wouldn't mind if a little higher more to work for 60 will come quick if ur good at leveling

Lvl 60? I Disagree, However.....

I Disagree about lvl to 60. If it came to past, that'll mean, they have to increase the weapon lvl. And to keep players attention, they will also have to add, New Side quest, like clothes quest, weapon quest, etc. They would also have to add higher bad guys. After a while , " lvling" becomes boring.

However, the kracken may come in the next story, because when we got that new weapon in the El patron boss battle, we had that " Curse hand" And in the movie what happen to pirates when they got the cursed hand? In other words" The Black Spot?

The End Of Jolly Roger and the Rise Of Davy Jones

Jolly Roger is taking the souls and turning them into undead... When Really they are supposed to go to Davy Jones' locker....i would like to see Davy Jones coming out in the near future.... and aligning himself and his crew with the pirates! And lead to and eventual quest... to where you do the quest for Davy Jones.... the quest will be centered around Jolly Roger's final defeat. So here is the story:
1. the pirate is summoned to isla tormenta by someone that is not named yet just to keep the story interesting.
2. once the pirate reachs isla tormenta, the pirate goes inside the cursed caverns.
3. the pirate keep on going until you get to the center of the caverns where the big pool of water is. and then it goes to a custscene.
4.Davy Jones Appears and offers the pirate a deal.
5. Davy Jones wants the pirate to find Jolly Roger's Flagship.
6. After the pirate finds Jolly Roger's Flagship... another cutscene happens...and the Flying Dutchman appears and summons the kraken and destroys Jolly roger's flagship.... with Jolly Roger still aboard... going to the locker

but i would imagine that there would be fighting undead skeletons too in the quest.... and after the quest davy jones spares the pirate from his wrath

Yeah, I think a good reward is a new weapon like maybe a random cursed blade. Also, I don't think Beckett should die, although maybe unlock the kraken later as a Boss Battle during that Davy Jones sidequest example WitchdoctorDan mentioned. Altogether, it should be a long quest that involves finding Jolly, getting away from his henchmen, breaking away from the eitc when they arrest you, and witnessing the epic battle between Jolly and Jack Sparrow, and maybe helping out.

Well, you can't exactly kill Beckett, because that wouldn't make sense with the movies. The game takes place between movies one and two, and killing Beckett wouldn't make sense, as he is in the second and third movies. Killing Jolly would ruin the game. Technically, if Jolly dies, his skeleton army should go away. So if we kill Jolly, shouldn't that mean that the skeletons go away?

Other than that, very creative story line.

Never have the developers said the game is set inbetween movies one and two, and if they were, that would limit the game... DRASTICALLY.

We just haven't killed Beckett off yet, and moved on. If the game was limited to a time frame that short, it wouldn't be online, and Jolly probably wouldn't be a character.

There's a lot the developers can do, and I'm fairly certain if they get the gears turning that we'll see beckett get killed off, and we'll eventually face jolly roger.

The problem is keeping the current level at 50 for too long will make many of the pirates who are maxed including me(and i've talked to quite a few others) leave the game. Why should we stick around if we don't get any rep anymore?
