I would imagine they had the backwards thinking of what you did. Since they've announced these new merchants heading in they've given pirates who don't have 200,000 a reason to hoard gold left and right. Thus, people who don't have a lot of gold will be pleased that they can get double gold for the weekend. Who knows, they may have another double gold event after they release them for pirates to reload. :mickeypiratezd4:
