That may be the temporary answer for this problem: wait until Disney resets the servers (like when they bring down the game for the next server maintenance/upgrade), then MAYBE your ship will be "docked" again.

I realize it's just a workaround -- they still need to fix the bug -- but, hey, it's an idea.

that's happening to me too.. I was sailing and my cargo was full, I tried to dock but the anchor never showed up.. I had to log out and lose my cargo

Since I got the official "Sorry for the trouble, that will be fixed with the next release" message from support, I was happy to see a new release on test. I figured it wouldn't be far behind on open and I'd be sailing again soon. Just for giggles, I tried launching my ship on open and found I could! There was much pirate celebration.

Hope the rest of you have such luck!

Yes, my boat was back in the dock yesterday and ready for use, ... after about 3 days out to sea though I was out of practice and promptly got sunk by a Man 'o' War :)
