wow I noticed on one of my little little little pirate that people treat me differently... maybe if they spent 5 minutes to get to know a person they would realize that just because they haven't been playing very long doesn't mean they aren't good people and you never know if that "noob" actually has another account filled with fully mastered pirates (just an example) I guess my point is don't bash the "noobs be their friends and help them out!

I remember when I was a noob. Everyone I tried to talk to always said 'Go away noob!'

Hello everyone! I haven't been playing POTCO that long really, just in the last two months or so. Luckily I was already tied into another Disney site and knew a few people already playing and they found me or I found them rather quickly. I did however run around for a few days unattached to a guild. No one called me a "noob" outright but there were some rude people and some that did not have time to help or answer a question.

The one thing that did happen was the number of guild requests I received. It was never ending. I would thank them and explain that I was exploring until I found my friends. It was almost as if it were "there's new meat get it!" attitude towards collecting guild members. After explaining why I would not join their guild I did get some rude comments because I didn't join them but I ignored it.
It is a great idea to create a new pirate and just see what the new ones go through. If new players aren't encouraged and helped out they might just get discouraged and leave, too many people leaving isn't good for keeping the site open.
Thanks for the reminder , well said.
