By playing this game you take a role in playing a pirate and as such you go right ahead with
the pirate lingo mate and fare saling.

I do wish we could use the word ho as in "Yo Ho." I mean, they censor the word which means we can't even quote the song D:

Yeah... thinking of deleting Breeze O'Luck to make a crazy dude.

I already made an outfit for my main pirate... the goal is to make him look like somebody who you would lock the car doors if you saw him begging on the highway.

I see...? Good idea though! Sounds like ill have to try it also!

When i was a basic member, and being told I had to pay to use certain items, I did use to think "PAY? I'm a pirate dang it! I should just shoot you and take what I want!" XD

Slasher 07-23-2011 09:46 PM

^^^ Wow. Never looked at it that way. Really nice perspective!

That's why they have yoho, same thing, and less trolling with it.

Disney will keep it as clean as possible. The game has more elements from the movie than from the ride. I would like to see that change a bit in the future. As TSC stated, if this were truly based on real pirates the game rating would be at least M (17+).

Let's put at it this way.

This is Delmaria Darkskull in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Online. He's a very romanticized version of a pirate - he goes out of his way to fight for the good of the people, he opposes tyranny with a passion, and supports individual and governmental independence. He is very honorable, and he believes in freedom and being the good guy in a world filled with back-lot deals and illegitimate business.

This is Delmaria Darkskull in a more realistic perspective. He works for whoever gives him business - he doesn't care who he stays loyal to or what he does so long as he is rewarded properly. He not only lives in a world of murder, crime, and so forth, but he is also a very large participant in it. He is often the catalyst in many bloody and gruesome battles, and pillages and plunders many innocent merchant ships in the most ruthless way possible, to instill fear in others.

Which one do you think is more "pirate-like?"

Roleplaying and speaking like pirates (aside from "sailor language") is one of the many things I encourage in this game, because it really adds to the atmosphere. However, making the game more pirate-like itself would then just take everything to a level that Disney rarely does (if ever) venture in to, and would surely end up to somebody being upset simply by how graphically natured "real pirates" were.

That is one fancy looking pirate.
