For the first time in POTCO history, we have NPC pirate ships that can hunt you down. That's sweet. I'm definitely going to be checking this out today.

And are there any Ghost Hunter ships? I'm aware there are Navy and possibly EITC, but has anyone seen a skeleton/ghost hunter ship?

So far, no. There are only Pirate and navy Bountyhunters

SOTL is unbelievably strong! But, we didn't have a crew of mastered pirates shooting fury. Many had brought their lil pirates for the fun of it all.

Now, Disney; allow the warships/hunters to cripple and board you, and vice-versa, and this will be the most epic update in POTCO history.... besides loot, of course. :D

EDIT:
Just watched a good video of it, and I have to say, this REEKS of ship customization. They are decorated in a way similar to the Raider ships from CD, which adds ammunition to the idea that we be able to make our ships look similar. I call: yellow sails, purple hull, yellow trim, and an emblem on the sails of a Witchdoctor! :D

I just realized that POTCO have been listening, and this update is specificly designed for high levels!
With all the hunters being lv 45+ and firing explosives (often bugged, since the explosives hit the bountyhunter's ship more often than the player's ship).

Although I wonder what will happen to the lower levels driving a light sloop or medium Galleon, etc. They will be far from being able to fight, and is easily outrun.

The videos of it shows us the epicness of Bounty Hunter Warships also hints the coming Ship of the Line to public use as it was "Confirmed" to be Summer 2011. From one video of SOTL versus Bounty Hunters, it showed they just need repair slots and it will help us endure hours of attack from Bounty Hunters. The Closed Ports adds to the fun :laughks2: Hope there are not a lot of bugs and it gets a close release.

I also like the fact that they added this after i made a thread about the Navy sending "assassins" after you. It shows that POTCO is viewing POF, and actually taking into consideration what we say. GO POTCO!

Are the scoundrel levels your normal ship levels? I just have to ask because my ship level is 15 and the best action I've had is a few navy ships going after me. I did get to fight a hunter war sloop and ship of the line but that was only because a player's ship of the line triggered them to pop up.

These small ship updates really seem to hint at ship customization. The Queen Anee, the hunter ships, they all seem to hint at ship customization. Hopefully we'll see it before the summer ends because that would really keep us busy. But if there's anything Iwant the most if ship customization comes, it's quests to get rare flags or rare ship decorations. Just buying them would be lame. Sure, for basic decorations and flags that'd be good but I want to earn a skull and crossbone flag or a red hunter flag.

Where was this "Confirmed" to be Summer 2011?

What happens to the Bounty Hunter ships after they sink you? Do they start going after someone else? And, do the Bounty Hunter ships give reputation and/or cargo?

They do give Rep and Cargo if you sink them. If they sink you they will go after other ships that fire on them.

You're encouraged to submit feedback (especially on test)....unfortunately I doubt it will bring back your fish. It's worth asking.....
