The old launcher, which I posted above, is no longer available to Basic Access members. You will get stuck on "Connecting to the game...please wait" and it will get you nowhere. The new one in the Release Notes will allow you to play even if you are Basic Access.

Cant find a new one... though mine dowloaded something on its on, Now mine simply crashes while loading instead of staying stuck at the "Connecting to the game...please wait"

I did it and i might actually get in! im on my players screen and the tutorial is loading and 90%

edit:FULLY LOADED! YAY!

edit2: its very late so i cant check out the scoundrel of the sea things, i spawned in abassa its ideal and i saw a player trying to cuss.... o_O

O_e... it worked for you? All it says is "Retrieving Version Info" on a quick pop up, then nothing else happens! strange...:psmiley27:

EDIT: or do you have to download the actual game through the browser to start playing w/ the launcher? Cause there isn't really a "download the game" button on the website, just an "uninstall" button. :(

Sent in a support ticket, and was told to redownload the new launcher from release notes.
Did that, and.....

It did that to me as well. check the graphic settings. Switch between directx and opengl a few times. This fixed it for me.

I sent in a support ticket and was given a link for download in the reply from costumer support, though I do not see it on the website... has anyone else not seen the launcher for download on the site?

They removed it. I'm pretty sure this has already been covered though.

Game Launcher not Working

Ok... so I download the game launcher, and when it loads to the part where you have to log in... it goes *POOF* and disappears as soon as it is loaded. :psmiley27:I had talked on Live Chat and the guy told me to submit a bug... so I did that and they still haven't gotten back to me! That was a week or two ago... -_-

Anybody have ANY idea why the launcher isn't working? Cause I'll be needing it when they totally ditch the browser... o.O

Oh... and the Test launcher works fine. :william:

I dunno.... Maybe you should uninstall and reinstall..... Works for a lot of people...

I've tried. Many, many times...

EDIT: and in response to Rich... many, many times over the course of about three weeks... and I think I have rebooted. o.O

richfireskull 07-26-2011 11:43 PM

Hmm my launcher was giving me an error a day or two ago,my solution? a simple reboot... that normally fixes my computer. so try that... cause that's all I got for now.

Chris Ironhawk 07-27-2011 10:20 AM

You could try to see if the Launcher is already running in the background...

To check (and maybe fix) this, first go to your Task Manager, (Ctrl+Alt+Del). Then, go to the tab that says "Processes." Sort the list by name and look for "Launcher1.exe." If you see it there, then select it and push the button on the lower right hand corner that says "End Process."

That is all I can think of at the moment... Hope this helps! :D

akamystic 07-27-2011 12:48 PM

Download the launcher again. The first download could be partially corrupt.

HammyTheSquirrel 07-27-2011 03:35 PM

uh... sadly neither of them worked... :(
