You can't really maroon a player right now. You can dump them on a island if you dock, but they can always teleport off. Everyone has the Port Royal teleport totem, don't they?
I still say, make them Walk the Plank, and have them end up either stranded on an island and have to sail off it, or in jail all groggy. After all how can we call ourselves self-respecting Captains if we have no power to deal with stowaways or insane crew?
Also a Permission to Board option to the Go To command would be very nice. Sometimes we just want to sail alone.

itheres been more then one time i have just sailed right up to the jugger and let him sink the ship as i tp off .. gold i got its fun i want and thats not what i get with stowaways.. ... the other favorite one is to board the colossis flag ... but i am telling you the walk the plank feature is the best idea i have seen on this forum... we need that implemented!!!

ever seen a pirate movie that some one didnt walk the plank?

Later.... treasure maps to draw

If they make a walk the plank feature, they should add tricks so that we can have diving contests. :vcheesy:

Chris 02-10-2008 03:54 PM

yea..

anyway i think they shoudl stop the go to thing out on the oceans all together

DarthChaosSky 02-10-2008 03:59 PM

Not a good idea to stop "Go To" while on the ocean. Some people really might need help. Probably a pop-up saying "So and so is coming to visit you. Allow them on ship?" and you press "Yes" or "No". If you happen to allow them to come on the ship and want to take it back, you should be able to see a list of the members on board right below where the stats of the ship are at the top left corner and be able to select their name and press "Walk the Plank". Yes, that would be AWESOME!

I got hosed by a stow-away today. Was beating up on an ogre and he starts taking shots at the other "War" class ships around me. I sank with a full cargo hold, including 2 royal chests.

I'm in favor of a vote by all hands aboard (pirate ships were in fact democratic) to keelhaul the wretched stow-aways. Walking the plank is too good for them. Let them wake up groggy in jail!

Chris 02-11-2008 11:40 PM

aye! or maroon them on cutthroat :Muahahaha

Nope. You need to unlock it. Everyone has the "Port of Call", which takes you back to the last port you were in.

Thrawn33 02-12-2008 02:30 AM

And further more, i'd like to be able to kick off those to teleport to my ship that are "friends" of some of my guildmates.

I know and get along with the guild folks, but today a couple of their friends jumped on my boat and had the nerve to start driving....

Making me like not being to "go to" people at sea more and more.

Yesterday, I had a good crew, and we had a decent haul. But, there was a stowaway aboard my ship, and nobody seemed to know who he was. He was downright annoying, and kept getting into my face. After the voyage (which I managed to get us back to port with our skins still intact), he bugged me and bugged me , saying "HEY, I WAS ON YOUR SHIP", and wanted me to friend him. I just asked "Just who are you, and what were you doing on my ship?", before I had to log off. This idiot, and those like him, should be made to walk the plank in shark-infested waters.....

Exactly what i do every time to stow aways. I just zip right to kingshead or padres and leave him there. then i find him later stowing away on my ship again and just decide to stop sailing.

padoc38 02-12-2008 10:43 AM

I have this happen a lot usually when I have a war frigate out.So I just take them to and island near padres if I can make it. I don't know why they do it .The only answer I have is they want to get gold from you with out doing anything to earn it
I would like to see walk the plank as an option when that happens. And yes it is usually lower lvl pirates that have this behavior.

Maximvs 02-12-2008 01:23 PM

MY Fave :)

When I get a stowaway on board - I start sailing towards a big boarding ship and while doing so 'friend' them, then I board the ship and a) if I go and have crew back on the ship, I just let then have him and Log Out :) Log back in and TP back to a friend on the ship - guess who died b) If I don't go I let them have him (after the rest Log Out) and rejoin me - then after they die I immedately report them and remove them from the list.

Sometimes drastic measures are required, so sometimes the WarLord or the Jugger gets a visit :) Friend the stowaway, then I shoot a few rounds of lighting at the bad guys to get their atention - then drive right at them! I TP off just before the ship heads to the bottom and once again report them.

I have to admit - not too many board me now :) Must be three weeks since I've had a boarder try to board the Vagrant...

Maroon doesn't work, they just TP away or leech onto someone else - and with this bug in the game I'm not into messing around - I get them dead and report them all in one sha-bang!

I can't make then walk the plank - but I can still feed you to the sharks :)

They have got to fix this and the many other game issues before adding options - no sense adding new features when a buggy game needs repair...

Bilgepump 02-12-2008 01:37 PM

I had someone jump on my ship last night. He was either a friend or guildmate of someone in my crew.

We asked who the guy was in crew chat, and the crewmate responded "annoying".

I had just set sail, so I turned around and headed back. But I shall remember the Padres trick.
