Good job Stormrunner. I hope they fix it soon. As for now i always
try to sail in quiet ocean to avoid them.
Oh, btw, most of them i believe are junior players whose chat are under
parental control filter, so if we want to talk to them we better activate
the plus sign in our chat so that they can read what we are saying.

I don't think they should fix it like that. I think what they should do is set it up so that the capn. is asked to allow the person on the ship.

Agrreed Hawk - I try to use the plus sign as much as possible - I ALWAYS give them a chance to leave first - I HATE having to do what I do now... but after ten (and counting today) they know what they are doing... they read these forums as much as we do, and can learn just as much as us....

I'll just be glad when the issue is addressed :)

Note: The total for the day was thirtten - but three DID leave after I gave them fair warnings - it does appear to start paying off...

I agree the problem is horrible...
But I hope that someone would give me a chance to leave before they boot and/or report me.
I will sometimes tp to my hubbys' pirate when I see him sailing.. and end up on a strangers ship. I will most always leave when that happens unless they say hello or welcome and invite me to sail with them. Being a level 32 probably helps them to realize Im not a typical stowaway. ;-)

^Rose - Though I am unsure about the others here in the thread - before I ask the pirate anything I ask the others on the boat "does anyone know X?" - if one say "yep - he/she is on my friends list / a fellow guilder" then the only think I do is say "Thanks Y - plase don't take the wheel as we are doing Z" and carry on... And I've never had a problem :) In these cases I think they are just happy to be docking with some RC's and a few I've even friended over time...

My actions of Reporting are a last resort - after I've checked the boat and then asked the intruder to leave the ship (unless I just seen them sail up and use the TP bug directly - then I go to stage two - and evn then I give plenty of time with three warnings...)

I also think we all know a hijacker's steps vs a friends TP or even one who is polite - within 30 seconds a hijacker boards - takes the wheel - you kick him off - he grabs a cannon and starts shooting the Jugger - you turn the boat and hit full sail to try and save it while trying to 'tag' him to give him/her the warning... any TP friend usually introduces themselves first before doing anything, ask permission before gunning or taking the wheel, all signals that they are no hijacker :) (And since we are a gabby guild - we usually stand for the next five minues and talk shop and gossip LOL)

And I think that in general is the way everyone in this thread thinks to a degree - if we just had an option to remove the player off the ship I would be fine with it :) Reporting is a 'major' resolution and none of us are head-hunters... but with no 'middle of the road' solution - its ask first - then off you go...

when i have that problem i ask them if they have a ship if they yes or no, it doesnt matter to me, i go maroon them at a wild island

I sent in a email to Disney LAST Saturday. It has now been over a week without a response. I'm going to resend the letter this morning, AGAIN, to see what happens. Maybe I'll mention something about the money aspect as well and see if that gets their butts into gear!

I also mentioned that I let my young daughter play the game, and that I really didn't like the idea that some social reject could use this to ruin her gameplay, just because that's how they get their kicks.

It may have been that last bit, but I got a response within 24 hours.

They said they're aware of the "Go To" issue and are working to resolve it.

So yay!

that's pretty much what the government told me about my disability check.
pretty much why I became a pirate
