i have put 1 point in it when sailing hit 21, still got 4 points to go ,i found that it def helps if u are getting broadsided b/c u run into like a storm reaper or somthing of equal lvl eather by your own fault,or weather it juss spownd up right next to where u are at with your ship at the moment.In any case having one point in it defintly keeps you visiting ye ol repair shop much less :)
