I'm usually very courtious, but when it comes to leveling/killing/sinking ships its every man for himself. Sorry I pay just as much as you to play this game. Your claim on an enemy means nothing to me. I'm not just going to sit back and let you get all the rep and wait for a turn that will never come.

If someone asks me to stop helping them kill stuff, I will stop. But don't expect me to let you throw nades at the formation in Kings so you don't have to risk your neck when I'm standing in the middle of the formation with the staff. You wanna work the fence, fine, do it when there's not other people around trying to play the game. Heck I use the fence to level nades too, but if someone comes in and starts interfearing I just leave, because they have a right to play, I just don't have to make it easy for them.

That's what I do... I think what annoys most of us is when people run up to 'help' you on a kill you don't need help with in the first place. That's when I nicely say 'i don't need help thanks' What drives me nuts is when people tell me to shut up or buzz off or whatever and it was ME who attacked first! There's plenty of other enemies why leech off of what I'm working on?

if you read my post, you'd see that i wasn't on the fence. i was working my staff. someone else came in and was doing the fence but i didn't care. i was up further. what i was talking about is when someone shadows you and only goes after stuff after you've made the initial attack.

"Blah, blah, blah, I was leveling and someone showed up and hit the enemies, blah, blah, blah..." So you were close to leveling-up again after staying in one place for over an hour....big deal, you'd just have to stay there a little longer or go somewhere else if your that worried about it. You play into there hands when you talk back to them. I mean, would you like someone sounding like your mom when your playing an online pirate game (i.e. "can't we be civil" I asked nicely).

Sorry...I just don't like the amount of whining on these boards just because you're playing a kids game and expect everyone to act mature.

Y'arg...it like ye forgot your playin' a pirate game me las....pirate guilds stick together through thick or thin....arrrr....what make ye think that just cause you stated something, that others shall believe it as truth?!

[/end rant]

No offense, but you must be a lower lvl pirate, where leveling comes easy. Sure, you can go leech off other peoples reps but when you have to gain 40K reps just to lvl one lvl!!! Lets see how you feel when your reps go from 100 to 20. Now you have to work 5 times harder to get those reps you were getting when you werent being leeched off of.

I understand this game is based for 10 y/o+, but as my mom always taught me: "Do unto others as u would want to be done unto". Plain and simple. If you dont want others leeching off you, then dont do it yourself.

Here's an example from yesterday. I was working on a quiet server to master my Grenades. Goin fine for an hr or so sailing back and forth. Gettin good reps built up and here comes 2 guys. They start staffing the stumps I'm workin on (theres 2 more on the other side). I asked them nicely to stop. I whispered it even. I offered to switch off, and alternate with healin them and they vice versa. Nothing in return. So I brought out my strongest grenades, and proceeded to kill the stumps in 4 throws giving them a max of 10 reps :laughks2:. Needless to say after about 5 times, they left.

I may be called Angel, but theres a Devil inside.:degen:

I did read your post and I understood the situation.

Now if it bothered you that much you lead said annoying someone into a place crawling with high level enemies, attack one, wait for him to jump in then log out :)

Or you just deal with the fact that there are scavenger type players. Not much you can do about it aside from stop attacking things and waiting for them to get bored and run off.

Umm. I would just remove the friend from my friend list. Not that great of a friend. ;]
But honestly I don't think it was right to ask them that.. That area is the best part in the game to level up.. But it's your choice. =]

i think all guild should follow basic rules of etiqutte however most people are rude, inconsiderate little scallyways and only care about themselves
