I had this happen to me as well..I was out with my friends sailing when we kept seeing someone talking in local when there were no ships near us and we weren't close to any islands. We finally started looking for said person but they never responded to us lol.

I havent had this particular glitch happen to me that I am aware of, but I have been having a similar glitch lately with sounds. You know the random fall down sound when you kill something and the like. I've been hearing it everywhere even when I am on a ship and there is no one around at all not even enemy ships. It makes no sense. But then most glitches don't

I have had this glitch happen to me before, actually had a conversation with one person until they mysteriously vanished. Nice player too...

Also had the one where you can hear ships shooting at your ship and the timbers breaking under the cannonball impacts AFTER you dock on an island, lol. That particular one went on for 10 minutes before I logged out and back in (I wasn't in the room but I could hear it. I had thought my friend had gotten on the PC and taken my ship out for a run, lol. I got a little surprised when I realized that she hadn't.)

Oh and the sailing music not changing to the island music, that is common for me, but nothing that bothers me too much

We were out in mid ocean, midway between any islands. The same thing - the disembodied voice - happened on another friend's ship but we were close to shore that time. Still, it's an odd glitch. It was just one voice, not ppl having a conversation, so why would I hear only one?

At least it keeps the game interesting!

May not be what your experiencing, but i've gone swimming off my War Galleon and done this. Often you end up under the surface and not visible even if they are looking where you would be at.

Zeppers lvl 40 - All mastered but lvl 21 cannons

That happened to me earlier, I was at the boundries ( the end of the ocean) looking around when there were 2 guys saying "can you see me? I can see you! haha!" and I got freaked out. its odd.

That's been happening to me, mostly at the PDF waters, people that I saw at land, I can hear at sea, and when I try to talk to them, they either don't answer, or they say some random thing. :laughks2:

one time i was sailing, and saw local chat.... the name was from a guild mate who wasnt online...
that kinda made me wonder... am i loosin it?

This had happened to me by Tormenta. I was a bit too far from shore so I stopped sailing and looked around. There was a girl in the water just floating. I almost ran her over. I sailed back by a few hrs later and she was still there babbeling away....

lol intresting... i found a glitc, where u can swim freely off of padres into open sea. i wen afk to talk to someone while headed to the beach. I ended up halfway to outcast.

Wonder if those "voices" are from whatever Game Moderator is currently working messing with the gamers. Hmmmmmmmm. Kinda like that earlier thread where the Skelly smiled at the pirate.

I think we might have a "Conspiracy Theory" going here.
