That is my problem too. We have all this anti this and anti that on our computers to keep them free of viruses and the like which screws up the game. The anti-virus programs think the updates are bad so out you go when playing the game. I got internet down twice today but I also noticed that my boat was a little slower today.

ok apparently the new updates require more updated drivers so to fix this all u have to do is up date all your drivers and you will be playing it just as it was before the updates :)

Tried updating drivers to latest and rolling back - nada...

I'll try using my other 'older' card - again - tomorrow. After the padadx9 fix posted a few months ago fxing my ATI card issues it was so nice to play with a 512MB card...

But I do have a second 'old' 256MB card that works without issue with the game (from before as it was the only card that worked until that fix post came along) and will test this next... any updates I'll post to share...

Well, at least you can all get into the game...Since updating I cant get past the login screen. Keeps crashing when loading the start screen. I have never had this happen before until today. Online help is blaming it on my video drivers. Mac's don't have the benefit of regular driver updates unless Apple writes them with OS updates.

And I just paid for another 6 months. This is just great. :sadmh9:

OK Patience, Im sure they are gonna resolve this with the updates they are doin tonight. If not they will shortly. I spent an hr in live chat and they are aware of the issues and are workin to resolve them.

no sailing crashed every time i went out and when i tried again my ship needed full repair, I never went out, no boarding, no weapons, no tp( well on occasion) sometime it told me i had to be crewed to enter ship?????????so i was grounded in tortuga, not the funnest town. i playedpoker and had fun with all the holes around town in tortuga got out once with a friend to get my list thank god, did driver updates re-install system scan oh geez i was fuming!!!!!! i even had ppl disapearing on me and myself appearing invisable..... AARRRGGGG -- but on a good note glad about the graphics they look good and when it gets worked out it will be awesome granted i upgrade to mega card staus, lol.... love the pouch it's tedious making ammo runs, chat seems to be an improvemnet aside of the fact that i had to repeat myself several times and said things to ppl i meant to say to others, LOL i had it happen to me alot to -- "oops sorry wrong person" crash report did make me a little heated because it would not submit, that crashed too ---- Jumped off the cliffs in fuego for a natural spa to ease the tension, threw myself to the alligators to see how long it would take them to devour me --- they left me alone after a min or so guess i was not the soup d'jour. all in all it was an entertaining and eventful occasion, they are probably running around tonight saying OMG we are insane for releasing that to soon, sure they r working on it to fix directly.

I need to sink several galleons before I can continue. Every time I go to sea I just get within cannon distance and the game crashes. My guns will stop firing and I can't put them away myself. Teleporting, walking through a passage, or activating the menu to launch a ship, (Possibly talking to an NPC) will let me put away the weapon to change to another but I will not be able to fire my guns until I restart the program.
Friendlies are now green on the compass.
This update is a mess.

Ah, see - living way out here on the East Coast (Atlantic Time) - I'm in bed long before I get to know about 'fix notices' - I'll go hunt around to see if anything has been done before I head home today :)

Lets hope so - cause yesterday - was basically a disaster...

Well, I had no problems after the initial updates, but after last nights maintenance, I can no longer take to the high seas. No further video driver updates available for my year old Dell laptop. I hope they do something, or im back to playing solitaire.

Since the update I had problems getting disconnected but that seems to have cleared up.

Now I'm finding that I'm unable to pick which quest I want to track. It settles on the one I've worked on; I can't change it or turn it off. This happens on multiple computers so I know it's not the machine there is a problem w/ the game.

This issue has actually been around since the re-release of the Black Pearl Quest. Since that update I have not been able to select Tasks and change the *Task tracker to the one I want... Up to now though - I've had no tasks to track so I couldn't test it a lot. Now when I wasn;t getting booted last nite this issue still exists... its on my list to report - just need a gun and be able to sail first though LOL :)

I have been lucky enough not o have many issues. I have had to resort back to my old gaming PC though just to keep from runnin out of my skin. Other than that the only other issue is getting booted while switching pirates or slow loading pages. The rest I can deal with or work around.

I know this sounds crazy, and so very non-computer literate of me...but I seem to be having the majority of my problems in Tortuga. Could there be a problem with just one Island? I would figure it would be the entire server...

Going to get the blonde dye out of my hair now...


EDIT: Nevermind, it's everywhere... LOL Gun stoped working, TP is a joke...sigh

Well - a really nice patch there... totally useless... but a patch...

Live support just told me they are working on another one... didn't have a timeframe for me though. Also cannot submit Bug Reports (page times out).

So all issue still exist still today (Ship , TP, Weapons, Connection Lost) and no fix...

I am still going to try my old card tonight though and will post anything on the results. I must admit - this upgrade really has me bummed out :(
