port triggering

good call on the port triggering. I had issues with ToonTown awhile back and adjusted my router for the port ToonTown was using and all my issues went away. I will see if I can do the same for POTCO.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed...but i'm honestly not that hopeful.:sadmh9:

port triggering

okay so i set up the router to include port 1935 (actually set the range from 1900 to 1999).

i noticed a difference in logging in and out...in particular when exiting the game. My resources seemed to come back quicker.

game play...well still as laggy.

I'll contact customer support to verify what port(s) i should be including.

with the upcoming PvP ship battles the lag just may kill that feature/add-on.

*sigh*

info from disney

TCP ports 80 (http) 443 (HTTPS) and 7667 (game)

I'll try it tonight.

Why can't they just admit they have done something to cause the lag instead of telling us it's our sad sad computers that can't keep up with their game?
We shouldn't have to update our computers every time they add content. There comes a point when it becomes too expensive to play the game in both time and money. The lag frustration may lose them a lot of paying customers.
I do like the game, but if they don't get some new story quests going and make it so we can actually get past the Pearl, I may not bother to renew.

yes

i agree 100%. I too like the game and am willing to go "technical" in an attempt to make it better.

if this doesn't help i'm not sure what i'll do. i really want to master my pirate (lvl 37 now) but i don't know if i'll have the patience to do it under it's current laggy state.

port triggering, fowarding

i'm afraid adjusting my router made little difference.
