here is a screen cap of how I run it, although the smaller screen is usually in the back, and I only switch to it to heal and move a bit to keep it from goin AFK.

I got mine set up yesterday and that happened to me just about every time I signed the second one in. I figured it was because this comp's kinda old, but strangely the lag wasn't that bad.

Doing the dual thing is pretty cool though - it's kind of fun to see both girlies side by side, and I was able to give myself some money (Piper's kinda poor...). :laughks2:

I think the snow issue is because of lack of video memory to support both at the same time. Ive seen it happen on others PCs. I might be wrong though.

Just one - the other can be a freebie. :)

I found a simple solution to the missing texture problem. I run with all graphics options On/High for both instances. Except for one thing. I simply change the "Terrain Detail Level" to Medium on the second instance and the textures work again. I don't think it is a Video Memory problem. It is more likely some sort of conflict caused by running 2 instances. Then again I too could be wrong.

GETTING TECHNICAL: POTCO sets the Affinity to only utilize the first CPU Core of my DualCore. Using "Task Manager" I must manually set the Affinity for one of the instances of pirates.exe to the second core. If this step is not taken the 2 instances of POTCO will be fight over the first CPU Core while the second sits dormant. However once the tweak is done I have no Lag running 2 instances of POTCO. Also POTCO needs 1GB of RAM to run smoothly. If you run 2 instances you will need 2GB. However, POTCO admits to having a memory leak. Over time the game gets slower and slower as it eats more RAM. This happens twice as fast running 2 instances of POTCO. A simple restart of the game will clean out the RAM.

Hope this helps someone. :)

My System:
AMD Opteron DualCore 2.8GHz
2GB RAM
Nvidia 8800 GTS 512MB G92
WinXP SP2
