Yes, Vista does have a safe mode.

To start in safe mode:

1. Restart your computer.
2. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows Vista Advanced Boot Options.
3. Select the Safe Mode option using the arrow keys.
4. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Vista Safe Mode.
5. When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Vista will enter Safe mode.
6. Do whatever tasks you require, and when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode.

The PotCO setup automaticly downloads the files into my Disney Online folder! From a previous incident with Toontown, that file got messed up somehow, and acts intangible! (I mean I can't rename it, open it, delete it, or overall affect it in any way) So, when the PotCO setup runs, the files are placed inside, but apparantly not even my computer can get into that file! 0_0 !

What I really need help for is how to either fix the file, or smash it into a billion pixels and leave no trace, then create a new folder and reinstall the game.

Now, a little more help would be nice... plx? :psmiley35:

Open a command prompt.

Type CHKDSK C: /F

It will say something like "CHKDSK can't run right now, do you want to run it on the next reboot?" Answer Y.

Also answer Y to any "Are you sure" type questions that come up.

It will then tell you that the disk will be checked on the next reboot.

Then reboot your system.

Does Toontown work?

Make sure you are logging into the system as a full administrator.

Then I would do the obvious which you likely have already done, go into the Programs management in control panel and uninstall potco, and in this case sounds like toontown should be removed as well (unless of course its working properly).

Well, no. My Toontown hadn't worked for a few years until the new Launcher came out, then once I downloaded the launcher, it automaticly installed toontown in a seperate folder.

As for the Safe Mode thing? I think I'll try that. If it works, then I'll see ya the next time you sail the seas!

Excellent to hear its working now. (and ack! quite loudly..)

Which action made the difference?

I always try to remember what works in case it happens to someone else.
