You've been questing for hours, days, weeks, maybe months to get there.

Why skirt past it after having spending all that time to get there?

I felt cheated when I had my first pirates boss battle hijacked, I abandoned him and started a new one immediately.
Theres no way I would consider cheating to win my Boss Battle.

And I do see using glitchs to beat the Boss Battle as cheating, what else could it possibly be?

Cheers, Zep.

I agree wholeheartedly. I actually tell glitchers in my guild not to disclose glitches to less experienced members in the guild. It takes the fun out of the game, eh?

If you did this on someone elses boss battle completing THIERs then its all on them. You were just there for the ride.

But if its YOUR boss battle, well.. my stance on that issue remains unchanged.

Glitching the Boss Battle is just cheating the one who's Boss Battle your on.

Not much of an accomplishment.. Blah.

Excuse me, but what exactly are you proving to yourself, by stealing ten people's boss battles, per day? Do you survey the would-be starters, to find out if it is their 1st or 100th attempt? Numerous threads on this forum alone, about cyber-bullies, even more specifically about boss battle cyber-bullies such as you claim to be...

Really now. Does your self-confidence fade that much each night, that you forget if you can still drive, the next morning? What exactly, are you trying to prove to yourself, by such prodigious theft? Think back to your first one, for a moment...

I usually find that when Im asked to drive one, its not that I'm 'stealing' it, but that the player has become so frustrated with the 'random crews' and disorder, that they have about given up.

I've NEVER had one person upset after sailing with my crew to complete their Boss Battle.. In fact, Ive made many friends and Guild members this way.

IMO a BB isn't any fun with in-crew bickering and a lack of a plan. But I think the word 'steal' is a bit of a stretch - even in the above situation. Yeah, there is easily 10 BB's available per day to sail with pirates who've given up on winning one due to a crew set on Mutiny, or who has no clue what they are doing.

I never go into one and take over... Im always asked to build a crew, and sail it. To assume people are 'stealing' them without asking is a bit harsh. Some of us just love Boss battles, and love sailing em!

BTW - I also will REFUSE to crew on a BB that is glitched. Why go through the game, and then cheat at that final 'big' battle???? Sucks all the fun out of it. Theres no need to cheat if you have a great crew!!!!! Every time Im in game and someone mentions glitching the Boss battle, I bite my tongue and walk away after telling them there is SIMPLY NO NEED to cheat.

Nelly, perhaps I wasn't clear in what I said - I wasn't talking about you, was I? I had directed my comments towards a single individual who claimed to have stolen more than ten boss battles in a single twenty-four hour period.

I'm more like you, Nelly - I enjoy the boss battles a great deal. The one person who recently mentioned doing the glitch is no longer on my friends list.

But as much as I loved boss battles, I am hard pressed to recall a day where I sailed on five or more (win or lose) boss battles for other people.

To actually go on ten (or eleven) per day, guarantees an army of ant-like servants that help hijack any boss battle found. The boss battle takes ten to thirty minutes to win, depending on how much of a rush you are in. Crewing up takes longer than that. But somewhere around an hour for each boss battle was not uncommon for me.

Even at its worst, Abassa Tortuga did not have a continuous stream of people doing boss battles. Even when I'd subject myself to waiting there, the wait time for the next person to come along was almost always significant. The times when there would be one right away, were always followed by an extra long wait, for the next one.

For any one individual person to go on ten boss battles in one day is really, really lame. I feel really sorry for someone who would spend their every waking hour, just trying to steal more people's boss battles.

Nelly Darkpaine 08-07-2008 02:35 AM

LOL That is true...

When I go on BB's I never wait for em. Im always invited through a friend of a friend, or through another Guild, etc.

I wouldnt have the patience or time to wait somewhere for em. I gotta keep leveling! LOL

if there is anyone (or group of people) willing to help me with my boss battle tomorrow, I'd appreciate it. I have a couple of friends helping, but we could probably use some more experienced people. I'm only a level 26, but I'm thinking I could probably pull it off. I'll be on the Monada server tomorrow...all day...my username is Christopher Whalerat and I'll most likely be on Padres del Fuego or kingshead island if anyone wants to help :)

The most important tip I can suggest is to stock up on ammo beforehand.
For my BB I didn't do this =/
It was kinda annoying not having any worthwhile ammo to shoot with.

omg what?
I dont steal them most the bosses are from sassys guild and she always asked and i get asked alot trust me.
But I NEVER do random people bosses. (like in abassa)
But i have NO idea where your getting the bully from.
I only do friends, huild members or friends of friends bosses and if they ask me to drive I drive.
I see no bully in that.
If you see a bully in that AT ALL
Then i would think your bully by bullying on people who you think are bullys.

It appears to me, he made a mistake and jumped to the wrong conclusions.

You definately did NOT say that you have hijacked, stolen, or taken over 10 boss battles a day.
I read it as you have done 10 boss battles a day and then something happening not allowing you to do an 11th, if you desired.
