ohhhh man. I love the clothes, and I haaaaaaaaate the quest. dude, having to sink anywhere from twenty to forty ships PER OUTING????? Come on, that's a lot, even for a pirate!!!!!

And no, I'm not kidding; for example, the Port Royal one? You have to sink like, twenty ships for Edward Stormhawk, and for Darby Drydock, my lord. 20 Navy, 10 EITC, 5 Skeleton for the first half, and 20 Navy/20 EITC for the second half.

The Padres one for Barbossa's outfit is even worse. You have to go for relics and cursed this and cursed that and you end up with (on the relics) 10 Navy and 10 EITC, and then when you have to find Mary Rigrage's personal effects, you're up to 15 Navy, 10 EITC, and 5 skeleton.

I'm about to pull my hair out.

LOL, not only do you have to sink a million ships, but like the other higher level quests, you don't get the loot every time you take one out.

I think for the third round (gawd, I dont' remember, this is taking forever) I had a quest to sink 15 ships, but by the time everything was collected, it was more like 25. At least by doing all three at once, I'm multi tasking. Get loot on one, and it usually counts for all of them.

Another note, these quests give a ton of rep. I've gotten almost 10k so far on Anne, and i'm not quite 3/4 of the way done. If you're trying to level weapons, and keep your rep low, I don't recomend going all out on these until your weapons are where you want them to be.

yeah, I'm doing two at once; three at once would just drive me absolutely insane. but yeah, I noticed that if you got one item, you usually got something for ALL of them. it's like, all or nothing. -.- I like the big rep boosts, but there is NO rep, and NO snazzy outfits, that can be worth this.

Also? How can you sink a ship THAT IS MADE OUT OF WOOD and yet, not find a plank? Just a quibble, there.

I'm new to the game and a level 11... I'm having trouble getting people to crew up to take on EITC flaghips to kill the people on them for the kill 10 EITC people... where can I find them on land?

You can find EITC enemies in the Royal Caverns on Port Royal, the Thieves Den in Tortuga, Fort Charles on Port Royal, Fort Dundee on Padres de Fuego, Becketts Quarry in Padres de Fuego, and although i do not recommend you being a level 11 going alone here, Kingshead.

Dang, I was gonna say "WRONG, it just goes to another page" but then I saw skull's post. but i'll say it anyway.

WRONG!! The clothes go on page 2! lol :P

MacIronhawk 09-01-2008 09:04 PM

If it makes it go to another page you may be thinking, hey I can buy at least 3 more cloths for that slot!
But nope.
It says currently the amount is 4 slots.
One funny thing is how do I have 5 slots and it only lets me have four it says?

We need bigger closets.

THe quest is Tortuga is 15+ it seems like that one is easier. Oh well. For the Tortuga quest I have to get shells from lvl 5+ Giant Scorpions and it doesn't even drop 1/10 of the time.

Your lucky.
I can't get the quest on tortuga for some reason.
It wont even show up in the shop so i'm guessing i'll never be able toget it.

If you're at least level 10, go see Nathaniel Truehounds on Port Royal (the taylor)

If you're at least level 15, check out Amelia Sunfellow on Tortuga (taylor's assistant)

And for you Level 20+'s, visit Adoria Deloris on Padres (the taylor)
For Tortuga, go see the assistant, she's in the corner of the shop to the left of the door. She will immediately send you to the taylor ;)

I would get help from the persons in your guild, if they woudln't help go to another guild until you find one that is a good fit and help you more.

My wife and I just finished the Trueshound quest first.

Whew! THAT took awhile! She's lvl 22 and I'm 27 so we can do all three.......

The length of the quest is reminding me of the Skeleton Mence one. That took forever simply because I kept getting sent to take out skeletons that were WAY above my head, hehehe. I heard they changed it though.

Anyways, didn't like the pokadotted banddanna around my head, went back to my plain ol brown tri cap. Like the boots from the first one.

Oh, but the pants from the the first one, I mean, come on! They look like hand-me-downs that had the knees worn out of them!! :laughks2:

Stormsilver 09-04-2008 11:11 AM

I just finished all 3 quests for clothing sets. Some of those took forever and a day to finish it. Worth it though. I think I sank more ships this past week than I did since I started playing a month ago.
