I've been taking everyone's advice and I'm almost level 12 with all my skills at around 5 or 6. I finished up a fortune quest I had picked up and haven't picked up a quest since besides daggers and teleport Tortuga. Can't wait to get teleport Port Royal next.

It does get kind of tedious but I'm managing. Thanks for all the advice.

Aye, I'm in the same boat as some of you concerning grenades. I'm level 34 notoriety and lv10 grenades. I stopped doing the BP quests at 55% done and I'm just working on getting my weapons lv up. I mastered sailing and doll, all others at lv 20 with the aforementioned grenade at lv10 and my cannon is at level 7...lol (I don't do that much.)

I started another pirate and have it at lv16 and all weapons at lv10. Only did 1% of the BP quest. Finding it easier to lv up.

I highly recommend that when a pirate gets thier grenades, that they IMMEDIATELY focus on leveling them. Most of us pride ourselves in eventually fully mastering our pirate, and if you save the grenades for last they are harder (and a bit more boring) to finish out.

Well it seems I wont be mastering my grenades on my pirate anytime soon.
I would recommend that if anyone is level 36 and up and their grenades aren't level 19+ that they should work on them as much as they can. There's little to no hope for me.
I'll be working on mastering my cannon and grenades a lot so that I may have a chance. I'm not worried about my level 20 dagger or level 17 staff at all. My pistol is halfway into level 24 and my sailing is 3/4 into level 24 meaning it wont be too hard to master those. Well time to go level up and hope I don't get to level 40 too fast.
The nort cap should be raised in my opinion. Along with higher level enemies. The higher the nort cap is means almost nothing but if we get higher level enemies as a challenge then our badly leveled up grenades can get more rep. Not much but enough to save time.

Well it can be done, would be nice if you could further increase how many smoke bombs you could carry though. Thats one of the tricks with grenades as you progress. Start using them, and it will increase the reps you receive (they are a low damage grenade attack).

But its definately harder.

I did that and I noticed I could get 60-65 rep from Urchinfist.
If we could carry more smoke bombs that would be nice.

Or try using random crew matching more often!

Captain NightWolf 09-15-2008 06:30 PM

Hehe...yea I've done that...would just be cool to see 6 of them lined up like the navy in the field at KH...with a Stump Officer, perhaps a shrub...lol

Sarah 09-15-2008 07:00 PM

Sir Lancelot: We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.
Sir Galahad: I don't think I was.
Sir Lancelot: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
Sir Galahad: Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.
Sir Lancelot: No, it's too perilous.
Sir Galahad: Look, it's my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.
Sir Lancelot: No, we've got to find the Holy Grail. Come on.
Sir Galahad: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?
Sir Lancelot: No. It's unhealthy.
