Im also wondering if you go to another weapon/skill and try to retrain if they are now 2500, or if it escalates per weapon/skill (assuming it will escalate further as one were to continue).
On my initial pass after resetting the cannons, I checked the others and all were listed at 250 (so it appears each Weapon gets its own scale of starting at 250 - then 2500 - then 2500 by LadyDi's post)

Now - the low prices COULD be because on test many pirates don't have a lot of money - and we may see large increases as they hit Live (so for testing... they keep the prices low so many of us could try the option).

As for Bugs... there are some and these need addressing - and I haven't gotten to test any SvS options (currently I'm the only one on for my group - if some others show up later tonight I'll give it a shot)

I think that's way too soon to be releasing anything this big. I've heard about how this update is just full of bugs and I believe that POTCO would be better off taking their time to fix all of the problems before offically releasing it, otherwise, what's the point of having a Test Server?

Andrew 10-05-2008 06:46 PM

True that Savvy true that, eh... I dont think live chat would lie to us though

Oh, I don't think they're lying at all, I just think that they're being over-competitive.

Andrew 10-05-2008 06:47 PM

Thats a good possibility.

Mr.LoveLocket 10-05-2008 07:12 PM

Ok, so to put rest the debate on the New Bosses vs Regular NPCs of the same name - the following pics show the difference...

First the Lowest of the Low... the Gravedigger... at L2 we kill them pretty easy at only 75HP - but - his Boss is 675HP... to a player at only L6 (usually when you go playing in the Woods) - thats a really big number to survive yourself...

http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/p...avediggers.jpg

For a Medium Subject - a Birgade... nice shot here as I was able to attune them both - one showing 1450HP - his boss at 3100HP... once again, at L15 the player would be beat down taking on this guy alone...

http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/p...vs/brigand.jpg

Finally - the stronges Boss I found so far... a Raider Boss... a normal Raider is around 2650 but our Boss... over 5900... at L30... a player taking this guy on would lose for sure (or be praying to use a lot of tonics...)

http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/p...mvs/raider.jpg

So even though a L40 Player could probably take these guys on and survive - if a player at their initial contact level with the boss enemy tried to take on one of the bosses of the same name - they would be in some trouble :D

Mr.LoveLocket 10-05-2008 09:56 PM

nice max!
omg 5900 imagine an urchinfist boss..

AdmiralSavvy 10-05-2008 10:21 PM

Perhaps 7k-8k max for an Urchinfist......
Great shots Max!

LOL.....I myself, considering all the things that come with having a guild in the Top 5 (perhaps 10) Overall Enemies Defeated, bad things, that has made me not want to target the enemy ranks as much.

Back on topic: The only thing really different between a Boss and Reg. is that the Boss's HP is 2X more than the Reg., if not more.
