Aye, Kraken Guard - twas a gold sword they showed as the next lvl of cutlass to be gained. This appeared in one of the game diaries or the grog blog - not sure. Tis very strange that John Moses was arrested after he found a gold cutlass on his farm.

I am more concerned with the fact that Captain Rott was one of the men who took John Moses away that night. We know there be a connection between Captain Rott and Jolly Roger. Also, the story of all the ghosts is intertwined together. So was Jolly Roger after the sword - does he have it? Mark me words there be more to this story.

It has also been confirmed that Captain Rott and his foul crew be undead and that they work for Jolly Roger. They died in the battle of Padres and yet they still look human. The whole quest ruse to rid Port Royal of its protective magic was Jolly's plot all along. This of course led way to the invasions.

Perhaps the next time ye get some time with Jolly Roger ye could ask eh Kraken Guard?

EDIT: I got to the one this afternoon! That was awesome. When John came back he asked what had happened to the house. He started describing how it used to look. It was pretty funny. Constance said she had liked having 4 walls too. They talked to us a little and then danced and faded into blue orbs.

Something that I noticed, John was level 26 and had a level 24 staff. Its strange. Yet constance had no staff

I too went looking for the pic of that gold cutlass. And failed. But if I remember correctly, it was in the same blog as the Thrail Captain was.

And not sure why, but I just have a feeling that more information about this cutlass will be revealed during the last few, if not the last, reunion event. But could also be dead wrong.

I am not sure if that is the one that Captain Walter was refering to or not. But that should be the next level sword in the game. And yeah it is pretty cool I agree!

Twas a great time indeed Nephalauxia! At one point every pirate there was dancing. I liked the way you approached them and asked politelly if you could join them there. Well done mate.

Events went great today, not much new info but the roleplay was really good :) We tried asking about the sword but Constance didn't want to talk about it, hehe :D

Are those weapons already out? I swear I've seen one of my friends with it. And I'm glad I mastered my doll so when I get the Jolly Roger doll, I can KILL him hehehehe.

Man do i want that Voodoo Doll! And no, you cant kill Jolly Roger! We wont have anymore invasions!! :sadmh9: I sure hope we be able to get that voodoo doll :) and that cutlass? Jolly Roger wielded it in one of the trailers i think. He pulls the cutlass out and slices the camera with it(Hopefully the camera man got away okay.. :p)

It all links up. . . the Casa Muertos come, and bring Jolly back, then the invasions. . . the ghosts need help, two are left. But heres the thing, notice how all the weapons have something idk undead themed? The claw on the staff, the Jolly Roger Doll, the Aztec Gold Sword which caused the undead curse in Potc 1, the quad pistol with a weird design on the bottom... and finally the dagger covered with jewels :12_1_138:. . . we couldn't resist it from Rott... wonder if theres a link?

Aye the story is coming together. It seems clear that Captain Rott has the sword and not Jolly Roger. I picked up this little tidbit today as well. Why is Jolly Roger going to invade Padres Del Fuego you ask? Very curious - Great to see so many POF pirates there today. Ahoy to those I met today. ~~waves to Chalupa.

I think that on the pirates online website it said Port Royal was only the start, and that Jolly wanted to rule the whole Caribbean. I wonder if we will have Cuba invasions if that is the case?

i got it once... and if you went into there home when they said not to, they will kill you!

Actually if you asked nicely with respect they were more that willing to let pirates into thier home this time. Several asked if they could get screenshots or dance with them. There is a huge difference in asking that way as opposed to just running in with weapons drawn and causing havok. Also in the past Constance asked pirates to stay out, they didn't, they went to jail or were knocked out. Simple as that - on occasion she was so overwhelmed she would use an area effect knock out with some unfortunate collateral damage.

Give the GMs room/space, keep your weapons put away and be respectful and you will have a good time.

We had such a great group at one event that John Moses actually came out and shook everyones hand saying thank you for freeing him. That was really cool.

Arr matey I not be sure bout the invasion of cuba but i will tell ye that padres del fuego shall be next! when jolly invaded port royal his ghost appeard in the caves there. same with tortuga. and now... his ghost has appeared in the caves of padres!

Surprisingly I did ask Constance politely and she said no. No big, there were very few there, I just wanted to see if she'd say yes. Hehe, I got them dancing instead.

I will say there was some difference in each of the Reunion events. Overall they had the same script but the GMs involved did make a difference.

Still great stuff! Off to go see some fireworks!

Constance wanted pirates to help her to get her husband John Moses back, that's why she was pleading for help

I deceided to write a brief history to gather all our information into a single spot. This is my interpretation of events based on information gathered. Feel free to discuss.


Many years ago....but not too many....
John Moses was a farmer and he worked the land, his land. One day he found a golden sword with a jewel encrusted hilt buried in the soil. He took it home and showed it to his wife Constance. They decided to sell the sword but before they could John Moses was accused of stealing livestock. They came in the middle of the night and arrested John Moses for a crime which he did not commit. Low who should it be that brought these false charges against poor John. Twas that fiend Captain Rott. He took the sword from the couple and had John dragged off in chains. Constance was in a panic, she knew she could not pay John's fines now that the sword was gone. The penalty for such a crime was death by hanging. She contacted a well-to-do relative in England and asked for help. Captain Cromwell was hired to take the ransom to the Caribbean to free John Moses. Cromwell was a good man but curiosity got the better of him. He had to see what was in the box he was to deliver. When he saw all the gold there he could not help himself and he sailed away with it for himself. With no ransom John Moses was found guilty and hung by the neck until dead. Constance cried for days refusing to eat or sleep. She died shortly after of a broken heart. John's soul was delivered to Jolly Roger (I assume by Captain Rott) and he was placed in Jolly's undead army.

Years pass and Jolly sets his eyes upon Port Royal. A place he cannot enter because of the voodoo relics place upon the island by Tia Dalma. He sends Captain Rott and the Casa de la Muertos guild in his stead. They appear human (actually Undead) and use their lies and gold to trick the pirate brethren into digging up and removing these relics. They also get the pirates to disable the Navy as well. The ghost Constance Sorrow (Moses - the town gave her the name of Sorrow) appears and warns the pirate brethren that they have been deceived by Captain Rott. That Jolly is coming to invade Port Royal. She cries at her loss and asks the pirates to help her win John's freedom from his terrible fate. Then on one late autumn day Jolly Roger's ship appears, the sky's burn with green fire and Jolly's visage appears in the moon itself. From his ship he calls forth his foul army of the undead. Out of the ocean and even from the very ground they come with John Moses among them. The pirates drive Jolly Roger back again and again but eventually his endless hordes bring down the Govenor's mansion and set it ablaze. Jolly Roger now set's his eyes on Tortuga and his nemesis Jack Sparrow. Again Constance comes to the aid of the pirates predicting the invasions and warning the pirates. Captain Walter appears and tells the pirates to seek out the undead where ever they may be found and destroy them. This effort weakens Jolly's army to the point that John Moses is able to break free from his grasp. Captain Rott then reappears saying that Jolly Roger would seek parlay with the pirates and offers anyone who joins Jolly a way out. 100 years of service in his army, otherwise they will all be killed. Captain Rott also speaks of a special weapon held in reserve by Jolly Roger. A magical cannon of immense power. Captain Walter appears later and after being told about what Rott said he tells the pirates its a false offer and a lie. All who join Jolly will be added to his army of undead that we just spent so much effort to crush. The pirates defend Tortuga time and again while Jack Sparrow hides within the Faithful Bride. Constance and John Moses are reunited and share thier thanks with the pirate brethren.

Captain Cromwell is cursed to walk as a ghost until he has returned the gold he stole. He is repentive now and has asked that John Moses forgive him but John will not. In an effort to make things right Captain Cromwell will now give the pirates warning of coming invasions just as Constance once did.

John Moses gave a final warning today to the pirates gathered to see the couple reunited. Jolly Roger's next target is Padres Del Fuego and he is after weapons. He says he heard about it one day that there are weapon caches all over Padres and that he has forces there already. His army will be much larger and more difficult to defeat. So keep a weather eye upon the ilse of Padres Del Fuego me hearties for the day is coming when the black skeleton ship of Jolly Roger will land there and if he gets those weapons we may not be able to stop him.

Aye Matey! I think ye be right on the spot with that bit of information savvy? Tis a great story indeed that will surely be passed on fer generations by pirates of all kinds shapes and sizes for eons to come! I wonder meself why Tia still has her powers though if the bretheren court imprisoned her in the first place and if she placed the relics then why did she also ask that we dig them up and if there is a way to release calypso a.k.a. tia from her human bonds.

The game is based between movies 1 and 2, no Brethren Court there.

Tia is currently a voodoo priestess as she was at the start of the second movie. As Jeanne stated we are (movie history wise) between movies one and two. Also she did not ask us to dig up the relics. That was Captain Rott and his foul but very human looking undead crew. How they managed to look so human and still be undead is still a mystery. Rott is currently under the employ of Jolly Roger.

Ahoy mate. Perhaps you are confusing Tia's asking ye to obtain certain relics to complete quests with the relics that Rott and his Casa de Muertos guild asked pirates to remove.

As far as powers: once bound in human form Calypso lost her powers. As Captain Whale said, Tia Dalma's powers come from being a practitioner of voodoo a.k.a. the Dark Arts.
While the Brethren Court wasn't featured until POTC:AWE, chronologically the BC would have been established sometime prior to the game's time frame.

If you check the Lore on Big D's page you will see that John Moses and Constance Sorrow have been reunited. They have moved on together and that storyline is complete. It is still possible to see Ol' Sooty or Captain Cromwell about but no reports have come through for awhile. Ol'Soot was helping with invasions now and again.

Very good story put there Whale. But i believe that Rott was not a servant of Jolly until he was killed during the battle of Padres. Probably he surrendered it to a Conquistador of Jolly.
Yes the game happens between the first and second films. The Brethren court was established beyond 1600 ad probably ( check the Kraken game ). The Legends of the Brethren Court is a prequel series of the BC, somebody must check on that.

Well that is truly a great story line once you read the whole thing laid out in front of you. All we can do is wait for the next chapter to unravel with the discovery of the weapons caches.

We shall see soon enough matey for that not so Jolly Roger is back along with the Casa De Muertos guild!:psmiley27: Who knows what they are up to and what we will have to face later on.:SkullBullet1:

DANG THOSE WEAPONS ARE AWESOME!!! El Patron's sword lets ye even turn into a ghost. no wonder how those ghost gm do it lol. they got to try out the weapons. i got me a sword more rare then that legendary sword though. its a lost relic called tiger shark blade

Mate legendary weapons are the best of the best currently, lost relics are the second highest, and then rare, common and crude.
