Well, I used to play other games, and make events.... Here are some of them...

Mystery Trip
Participation required: low
Pre-event organization required: high
Event organization required: no
Duration of the event: 1day+

This event is best suited for small guilds or guilds, which have players from different time zones. Organizer of the event will travel the world and take screenshots of himself in various places. Places should be picked carefully and could follow some particular pattern. Later all the screenshots should be posted on guild website, or any other place all the guildies can view them. After the screenshots have been posted everyone has a set period of time (it can be even several days) to visit those exact places and take their own screenshots in the same place. The person with the most matching screenshots wins. This event can be restricted to the low level characters (ie character on the screenshot cannot be of level higher then 10 or something).
As for the actual original screenshots they would have to be taken in not commonly known or hard to reach places with probably some tips to the whereabouts on the background. Say if you take screenshot of yourself under the waterfall in El sud. (place that no one usually even notices)



Escort.
Participation required: high
Pre-event organization required: medium
Event organization required: high
Duration of the event: 1-2hours

This event is very similar to the Rat Race, but with a twist. For this event teams of 3-5 people will be required, one of them should be level 1 alt (VIP), rest (Body guards) do not matter. Objective of the event will be for the team to escort the level 1 alt from start to finish. The restrictions are laid only on level 1 alts and they are: no enchants/speed enhancers (if there are any available at level 1), no flight paths, no healer. Bodyguards may be allowed to revive the fallen VIP. Destination for the escort should be set in a very hostile environment.

I would like to officially withdraw Spania from the Conclave, I tried but, is not really what I had in mind.

The whole concept as it started, and as it is, it is doom to fail, in my opinion - and that is in addition to what I had not in mind.

But I would like to wish you all good luck!.


At the same time, I would like to leave the door open for any other opportunity in the future , that might actually have a future, we at Spania are very optimistic of what Pirates can accomplish, but we are also realistic.

There is no mess that never can be cleaned up - it just takes someone with a big enough broom ;)

I'll just reiterate, to make sure everybody understands. The Conclave is not something that is meant to have all of it's contents involved in every day, nor every week. It's simply a medium of getting the guilds of the Caribbean to come together, and enjoy each others company from time to time. I would prefer if we didn't shove this thing down each others throats, aye?

And, of course, as a reminder to all Conclavians (<---- new word) our Halloween Party is coming up very shortly! If any of you prospective guilds out there would like to join up for the party, just shoot me a PM, or a post here, if you would like to tag along with the rest of us :)

We have an event planner besides me? I was uninformed. I think you guys were confused by Rose's post - she wasn't planning any events directly, she was kindly sharing a few game ideas she's had. Honestly, you guys are treating it like you don't want me to organize anything.

The Halloween Party refers to the party.. for Halloween.. that we have had planned for some time now. Read over the previous posts, as well as my edit to the OP, to see what I mean.

Speaking of that, seeing as how alot of you can't attend, would the 30th at 7:00 PM EST be ok?

Legion guilds
My plan to bring non forum guilds into the conclave is basically to have people review the guild wanting to join the conclave.
First when a guild requests to join the conclave people representing the conclave will be inserted into the guild. Then the people inserted into the guild review the guild wanting to join looking for signs of a bad guild, and guild warfare. If the guild doesn’t pass then they will be denied entrance.
Now during the process of a guild being accepted it will be called a legion guild and once it is acceptance the guild will be called a conclave guild.
The qualifications for joining the conclave have not been determined yet so someone has to think them up (unless Del has some I’m not aware of) as I’m not qualified to do that. So please tell me what you think any comments accepted.

All guilds that want to be apart of the conclave need be on here. Thats what i think

all part of the plan that i probably forgot to write the last stage is for at least one member of the guild to come here

funny i never thought of that and i have pulled out of the conclave also what guild if you mean the conclave legion it was not created for this purpose. its name came from a pm from del just before this thread was started it not this idea which admit-ably is horrible and over complicated.

i'm thinking about leaving but i don't really want this to fail so i'll try and help get things going again i didn't expect an easy going ride when i joined i knew it was new and so i wanted to help :D where ever i am needed i can be there mostly... if it is able to be done on weekends

Not again... I really don't want to have to call a mod here again, and I'm sure they don't want to come to this thread to check it out again. Lets keep it clean, or I will call a mod. Ay ay ay, so much ground to cover.

Firstly, thank you to Ex for keeping this thread nice a groomed. Not trying to be a back seat mod (don't think I am in this case, but sorry if I am) but I would prefer if we kept any discussions that go on in this thread, in the Conclave itself, or anywhere in general, civil. Drama is not what I wanted, and it can kill. I'm not pointing my cutlass at anybody, but let's keep it clean, m'kay? M'kay.

Next, I would love to have another in-game meeting. Fo shizzles, this time, too. I'm thinking that Thursday, the 28th at 8:00 PM Eastern would be a tight squeeze, but I believe I can manage.

Also Jason, don't feel pressured to drop out. I understand how things may get in the way, and not having many mates on the forums is fine. I'll keep ya on the list for now, but just tell me if you want to keep your decision as final.

And just a word to all of those who are part of the Conclave:

I realize things have been tough these past few days. And I know, we're all kinda at odds with each other. However, I'm positive that I know you all to well, that your fully willing to give up with this. I mean, really, we're Guildmasters - if we can handle our mates, we usually can handle anything, aye? ;)

The Conclave is turning in to something that requires way to much care. I'll say it a final time before I write a book on it and cram it down everybody on this site's throats - The Conclave is a MINOR detail in your time as a pirate. As such, having to deal with the Conclave should NEVER have to be a primary mindset. If we start to pound ourselves in to this like driving a car in to a wall, we're only hurting ourselves. Again, give this time, keep it simple, and try to avoid killing each other.

Lastly. I know that we are all looking for somebody to lead this thing, and while most of you have looked to me, I've tried to stay humble and keep myself as just the "Organizer." Well, enough of that. Yes, this Conclave will be remaining democratic. But a democracy alone turns in to chaos without somebody to hold on to the reins. So, if it can be allowed, I'd like to step up fo shizzle, and become the real leader of this shin-dig.

no i didn't leave the conclave the in game guild the conclave yes (did anyone expect me to stay in a guild with 7 people in it and those we mostly inactive) but the conclave it self no in fact my guild is based on an old idea for the collective now the conclave. I am currently working on getting the conclave legion into the conclave. and i meant the idea for legion guilds (admit-ably overcomplicated and had no real purpose) this is not the idea behind my guild (probably a bad idea for them to share a similar name) it is based on an older idea of the conclave having a few guilds created in it which is a far better idea then the whole legion guild idea.

I wouldn't exactly call them inactive. They're there as representatives of guilds. They're not SUPPOSED to be logged on all the time, as the primary guild comes first.

Erm, moving on. Perhaps what we could do for meetings would be similar to what I do with my guild. In the Sorcerors, we have monthly checkups, the last Saturday of each month. Perhaps we could do something similar in the Conclave?

this is an announcement of an upcoming event an solute to veterans and active duty members of the United States Military. The event will start at 10:00 eastern standard time 9:00 central 7:00 pacific. We will be having a how ever many gun we can get solute to veterans and active duty members of the United States Military. we will be firing our bayonets and muskets (single barrel pistol for basic members) out towards sea every half-hour on the half hour on tortos tortuga. all are welcome to attend just be nice and respectful towards those who have served. this event will also be held on Friday at seven and ten eastern Saturday at 6 and 10 eastern.

please come whenever you can. I'm hoping we can get at least 21 people there so we can have a 21 gun salute more people would be better. happy armistice day

i was thinking and thought i would write a basic set of requirements for joining the conclave
1 guilds wishing to join must not have engaged in guild warfare that involved the use of spies or directly destroyed another guild through such means
2 guild is not currently involved in warfare with a guild currently in the conclave
3 is willing to accept the rules of the conclave
any suggestions are welcome these rules aren't official but are pretty much common sense rules

i don't think the Conclave should control what your guild does and doesn't. I'm not saying i support warfare against guilds or that i don't but i don't think outside things with the guild need to be a big deal. It would take up too much time trying to get background info on guilds wishing to join not everyone is always totally honest....

we should only have rules for what happens during the meetings and events and such...

And besides why would a guild want to joint eh Conclave if an enemy guild is already in it?

I really don't care about the past of a guild, or how they choose to involve themselves with non-Conclave members. All I ask from guilds is that they do not drag conflicts in to the Conclave.

I do believe that it is important to monitor what guilds come into The Conclave, however I would prefer if we didn't interrogate every guild, and send in representatives, and all that junk. Just a few simple questions asked to the guildmaster of the guild wishing to join will do. Just questions such as "How old is your guild?" "Has it had any negative history?" "How many members?" and a few other basics like that.

i agree with davy we should ask the gm and if there are concerns a few members to see if we should accept the but nothing to extreme to make sure they don't cause trouble within the conclave also del i just wanted to make sure u ignored it the first time i posted that.

Pirates vs. Skeletons

Overview: A convoy of pirates, carrying some fine barrels of rum recently plundered, have just landed on the island of Padres Del Fuego in hopes of celebrating their good fortune. However, a group of rogue skeletons have scavaged their way out of the cave system of the island, and are looking for some fresh rum to quench their DYING thirst! The pirates have to escort their precious, precious rum to the Skull's Thunder Tavern without losing the majority of their cargo... or their crew.

How to play:

Everybody will be broken up in to two equal teams: Pirates and Skeletons. Level is not important, but a doll is necessary.

The pirates will start at the farthest northern point of the island, by Gunner's shack. The skeletons will start at the base of the bridge leading to Fort Dundee, by the gypsy cart. The pirates need to be able to get their ENTIRE team in to the Skull's Thunder Tavern, while the skeletons need to get every single pirate tagged with their doll.

When a skeleton "tags" a pirate, they need to attune them with their voodoo doll (healing would be good too, to point out the tag was made.) After being tagged, a pirate is frozen in place. Another pirate can come along an unfreeze the pirate, by tagging them with their doll. Two frozen pirates CANNOT unfreeze each other.

After two rounds, the teams will switch roles.

Other Rules:

• No water!
• No leaving the main area of the island!
• No teleporting to others!
• Hiding in buildings is allowed, but only by the pirates. Skeletons cannot enter buildings. Just remember - you can't hide for long...
• If your a skeleton, no babysitting the Tavern, or frozen players. Babysitting is defined as standing next to that building/pirate to not allow players of the other team to get to it without having to deal with you first.
• No potions!
• No glitches/hacking!
• No extra doll skils (i.e. Evil Eye)
