Concensus is leading toward Tuesday's.
I can live with that. So, the next guild event night will be Tuesday, and we will see how that works out. I would like to plan a short meeting of the officers, sometime around 8:30 Eastern, if you can make it, please. Have some guild business to discuss. Next would be standard Masterings, glows and BB's. So, anyone who is gonna be ready by then, post here so we can schedule it. Then, pure havoc on the high seas! A true Plunder Party! Going for the gold, not the reps or the number of ships sunk. |

Since there has been so much talk about it, action involving it, and there is even a thread elsewhere here on POF, I'm suggesting an AFK pushing contest as a guild nite event. Teams of 3 or 4 pirates all have to push an AFk guildie from one place to another, at the same time. First team to get their assigned afker to the target, wins! Not this coming week, since we already have a few things assigned for guild nite, but maybe the following week. Since there is no rep or gold to be earned, I'll put up some gold for a prize for the winning team. Let me know what you think! |

Hahahaha, I'm sorry! I'm not used to having night classes anymore! It's only on Tuesdays from 6 - 8:45 and it takes me at least a half an hour to get home. I don't want to miss things though! So, is there anyway we can delay guild night until 9:30? Just this once. For me. PLLLEEEEEEEAASSSSEEEEEEE

Tuesday night, Guild nite events:
Gonna try to have Purv do his FINAL 3 Glows. Less than 500 rep each on Cutlass, Pistol and Dagger, and Purv will be full master all weapons. Lew is about ready to do BB.. He would like to do that at about 9ish Eastern time. TK, Thunder Kiss, is ready for a BB also, but I haven't talked to her about if she wants to do it yet. There is a matter of some pirates being promoted to officers in the guild. Should do that tomorrow! Would like as many as possible to be ingame for that, so will plan on it for after Lew's BB. some time around 9:30 eastern. Of course, Plunder Party as much as we can!!! |

Guild night, 1 /27.
Start practicing! Next Tuesday is AFK pushing night! (Yeah, like ANYONE in this guild needs to practice!) I would like you to sign up in teams of 3. And, sign up early, so I can figure out how many AFK'ers we will need. I am also looking for volunteers to be the AFK'ers! I can supply 2, but will need more. Basil, Sarah, and Davy have volunteered to put up gold for prize money, so 5 K to each of the winning team members! More details about the actual pushing and route will be forthcoming! |

Typical time for Plunder Party. Between 8 and 8:30 eastern. Jess knew about her night class, and still voted for Tuesdays, and most of us Eastern time Zone people can't wait til 9:30 to just be getting started.
(Sarah just had a b'day, she's getting too old to stay up late! But by next year, she won't sleep at all, so then she can stay up all night, she just won't remember what for.) I have the route picked out, scoped it today. Once I have a better handle on how many teams we have, I'll contact those who volunteered to be the AFK'ers. |

Guess what ... wonderful timing again.. we are in the middle of a winter storm warning for the next day and a half.. ice storm type weather.. so I expect my dish to have at least 1/2 of ice maybe more.
I'll try to be there to team up with whoever needs me.. but this might be another night where small kids don't need to be within hearing distance of me. My language during the scavenger hunt event was extremely piratey. |

Haha, you don't have to do that. I'm fine with coming in late as long as I get to take part in some of the fun. I just wanted to be there when you announced the new officers (ALTHOUGH CAP'N WAS ABSENT, GAH!) last week. I may not be around tonight, though. As far as I know, and despite the snow/ice, I still have class. It's going to take me forever to get home! Then I have to watch a movie for one of my classes tomorrow in addition to all my other homework due tomorrow.

Up the hill to our starting positions....way up the hill...  Me, Anne, and Rachel's rock...err.. pushee, Max.  He ain't movin' much, Capn!  After a long time of trying to push, we're gaining some ground and past the Purv's team.  Taunting the competition... wow that's a long way up.  Need to go that way! It's not like we're aiming or anything.  Purv says we're all crazies. Oh if Big D ever looks at the activity logs for this server.  Jeffrey's team is catching up! We were tied a few times. 30 plus guildmates: over an hour and a half of game time each: plus a few who popped in and out: doing nothing than push each other down the hill and into the water!
Not a point of rep, not a single coin of gold earned, in over 45 hours of game time! What a great guild we have! Thanks to all those who contributed gold, and Grats to Cute for her new War Frigate! (And I think that some people helped out Fantasy, too!) There is still gold to be given away, Sarah and Basil are still maxed, so let us know if you need some. Grats to the winning team for getting Big Max to the water first, and the second place team pushing Jeffery was right on their heels. To the new members who had a harder time of it, especially those pushing Rose:: As I stated in another thread here on POF, pushing is an artform! You guys had a disadvantage in that your entire team was new at it. Now for some news: Now that some of the senior pirates aren't maxed gold anymore, how about a pure Plunder Party for next Tuesday? We should be able to get 3 nice size crews out at the same time, going for nothing but the gold! Start time between 8 and 8:30 Eastern, end time when everyone quits! Thursday, Feb 5 is the War Wenches one year anniversary, Some of us have already committed to being there, Bella has invited the entire guild, so mark it on your calendar, and be there if you can. Bella is also going to make that her Boss Battle, and has some other events planned. Around 8 Eastern. And if Bella, Piper, or one of the other WW/DW members can keep us posted here, it would be appreciated! Tuesday, Feb 10: Guild nite is special again. Feb 11 is the one year anniversary of The Elite Circle, our parent guild, from whom's loins the Dueces Wild sprang! So, another major party night in the works! Then; The event that I have been hounded about; The second DW Scavenger Hunt! I'm going to do this one a little differently, since we learned so much from the first one. It will be a 2 nite event, Feb 17 and 24. For more info, please see the separate thread that I will post specifically for it. I will try to post that thread later today or tomorrow, so that everyone can start planning! AS ALWAYS, If you want to schedule a major event in your pirate progress, a BB, Mastering of a weapon or Notoriety, full Master status, etc., and would like to do it with the entire guilds' support, let me or Sarah know, so we can put it up here for one of the guild nites! |

Next Tuesday, Feb 10th: The one year anniversary party for TEC, our initial guild. Speed Boat (Sloop) races! Tug Boat (War Galleon) races! and two different Pirate Obstacle Course races. (Looking for three people to volunteer to help me organize and keep every thing running. Means that you won't actually be a participant, but a coordinator.) I have the stuff basically arranged, but will need some help making it work. We will try to organize the different events so that most people can be in at least 2 different events. More details will follow later this week. |

Tonight:
Bill is Mastering! Approx 8:30 Eastern. Tomorrow Night, Guild Night events. One year anniversary of The Elite Circle. Speed Boat Races (Sloops, Any size!) Races will start with Pirates aboard their sloops at Tortuga. On start command, they will sail out, to the left of Devil's Anvil, (Anvil will be on the right side of the ship as they pass.) Then turn slightly right to go all the way around Port Royal in a Counter-Clockwise direction. (PR will be on the ships left) and straight back to Tortuga. First one to check in on the Tortuga DOCK, wins. Tug Boat Races (War Galleons only!) Races will start with Pirates aboard their WG's at PDF. On start command, they sail out to the right of King's head, circle around KH in counter-clockwise, sail in between KH and Cuthroat. Full clockwise circle around Cuthroat, and back in between KH and Cuthroat, back to PDF. First person to check in at the volcano wins. Obstacle course 1 Start at the entrance to King's Run on Port Royal. (The tree by the graveyard.) First person to exit from Wicked Thicket (The cave on the beach) wins. Once you enter the cave system, no exiting till you come out of Wicked Thicket. Obstacle course 2 Start at the front entrance to Perdida cave, the one that leads to Scary Mary. Come out the opposite end. Set sail to Tormenta. Enter via the entrance that leads to the pool, exit form the cave by the little shanty. Set sail to Outcast. First person to check in at OC wins. I tried to come up with events for both low and high level pirates. Low levels can do the Sloop races and run thru Port Royal, High levels can race War Galls and run O'course 2. Tug boat races and Obstacle course 1 will be held at the same time. Speed boat races and Obstacle course 2 will be held after the completion of the first two events. This way, each person can be involved in 2 events. WHEN SAILING: no use of Full Sail or Ramming Speed is pernitted!!! Gold will be given to those who win/need it! Those who volunteered to help, I will PM you later today with specifics about what we will need to do. I LOST ELECTRICITY AND INTERNET on Monday evening in the wind storms we had. Electricity came on about 6 last night, but still no cable or internet even this morning before I left for work. It looks like this was a good event, AND I MISSED IT!!!!! Who won the different events?? Hope everyone had a good time. I'll be back as soon as my cable company gets the lines reinstalled. The next 2 weeks is the Scavenger Hunt. Check that thread for more info. |

I had a heck of a lot more screenies than this, but it seems if you don't wait a full minute between shots, they get overwritten...dang it. So, I basicly have the same ones as Davy.. I apologize in advance. I am EXTREMELY busy with work, home, other things, so I didn't schedule anything for Guild night tonight. I'm not even sure that I can be there.
It looks as though I'm going to be MIA for a little while, not totally, but my game time is going to be drastically reduced. I am working on the scoring for the Scavenger Hunt, albeit slowly, and should have the results either tomorrow or Thursday. There have been some good suggestions for Guild nite events, and I welcome anyone to organize and run something over the next couple of weeks, until my schedule eases up. Tonight, I would suggest either a King's Head takeover, or a pure plunder party. The last couple of weeks, with the Scav Hunt, we haven't run anything that would be of major benefit to the junior pirates, and those two are always good rep and gold makers. |

Wait just one minute.... just who then went out and sunk the damaged corsair that Ari left behind, and a juggernaut all by herself with her own regular frigate and only level 6 sailing. (lol... should have stopped there.. but took on and lost to a colossus).
And btw.. i wasn't doing any of the sailing for Ari (Anne). Ari was sinking just fine without me.. as evidenced by my immediately landing in jail just as i arrived on her ship. ** goes off and pouts ... wasn't even gonna be there anyway... hugging gtots is more fun than sinking your dumb old warship |
