Ok, I've been wondering. Has anyone actually SEEN the Navy Bastion on live? Is it just a Test thing? I would check myself, but my Desktop is what has Test, and unfortunately, it got messed up. I haven't seen them since the recent updates went to live.

Big Bad Wolf 03-14-2010 07:27 AM

I remember when the Navy Bastion came out along with the fleet update, the little Navy Panthers were gone, and replaced by the Navy Bastion in the same water where it roams.

I seen some pirates telling us that quest for Dagger which required Navy Panthers, needed the high level Navy Bastion instead. So it must have been a bug where the Bastion accidentally replaced the Panthers.

The Bastion only lasted a few days in test, after which panthers were put back correctly.

Aye seen this ships roaming in the seas of Test. Haven't seen any in Open yet but then again haven't done much sailing with my max LOL
Well good to see that they added everything into the game now after a while.

CarribeanThunder 03-18-2010 10:13 PM

Well, maybe that shows that Disney will be adding new Enemy Ships soon - the Navy Bastion being included.

What I don't understand is, if the Navy Panthers really DID get bugged and were replaced by the Navy Bastion, how come it didn't have the same stats a normal Panther would have - it would just be a War Galleon version of the Navy Panther. ( I think I know why it happened - could be just a small accidental leak of some future stuff - but I want to see what YOU guys think happened ).

Wow... strong ships!

shift312 05-13-2010 01:02 AM

Were do you find these ships.... and what is the test server

CarribeanThunder 05-14-2010 01:35 AM

shift312:
All but the Navy Bastion can be found in events known as the EITC Fleet. They are extremely powerful, and are dang-near impossible to do alone ( But COULD be soloed ).
The Test Server is where some players go to try and test new updates before Disney releases them to the public.

New ships are out, guys! They belong in what is known as the Treasure Fleet - the Navy equivalent of the EITC Fleet.

HMS Invincible
Lv79-81 Ship Of The Line

Uses: Round Shot and Explosives - extremely powerful, and I'd say more so than the EITC SOTLs.

HMS Victory
Lv79-81 Ship Of The Line

Uses: Roundshot/Firebrand.

Navy Elite
Lv69-71 War Frigate

Uses: Roundshot and Firebrand
Your basic equivalent of the EITC Tyrant, although the name is a little more plain - at least to ME it is.

HMS Victory was a gold ship that sunk with a huge amount of loot. One of the biggest targets for modern treasure hunters pirating ship wrecks. I wanted to name my war frigate that, but the ship naming doesn't have a "custom" option....grrrrrr!

CarribeanThunder 05-14-2010 03:22 AM

I would name my ship the S.S. Orca ( 10 Points if you know where I got the inspiration ).

I don't find the Navy Fleet to be AS powerful as the EITC Fleet - obviously, since Navy Ships do less damage than EITC Ships.

Thanks for providing the info, POP.

I hate to correct you, but the HMS Victory was the flagship of the English fleet. Lord Admiral Nelson died on board, in the Battle of Trafalgar. It is currently on display at the shipyard in Portsmouth England. It is still the "flagship" of the Commander-in-Chief of Naval Home Command. I have been on board her a couple of times.

It was never a treasure ship, nor was she sunk.

William ORoberts 05-14-2010 04:08 AM

POP... Never been called that before lol. I got the info from that show on Discovery last year... I think it was called Treasure quest...

I would really love to be able to buy one of the ship of the lines, but even better, you could do a really hard quest for it.

I am guessing there were multiple HMS Victories because I am sure of this info, but it would still be a great name.

Basil Dreadflint 05-14-2010 04:13 AM

Well, either you confused the Victory with another ship, or else the Discovery Channel did it wrong. I can send you links (or you can just look them up) to the Victory's web page, where there is tons of true historic fact about the HMS Victory.

Although there may be other ships called "Victory" there is only one HMS Victory. It is the most honored ship in British Naval history.

William ORoberts 05-14-2010 04:20 AM

Okay Basil, here is a link to the HMS Victory that I am talking about, turns out there are several of them.

ps I don't think the link will work but you can copy and paste it into the adress bar.
EDIT: nevermind, the link works fine( or at least for me)

The article says "HMS" and that is what I've heard, so let's just leave it at there are multiple HMS Victories.

"POP" out...

Well POTCO has a History of adding Historical figures. Last time they added Edward Low (notorious pirate) as an EITC boss and after they removed him, POTC wiki (where I am Pirate Lord, not POTCO wiki) takes it that he was ONCE a member of it, after being saddened by his pirate life. So the HMS Victory can be based on the original one.

Basil Dreadflint 05-14-2010 01:51 PM

http://www.hms-victory.com/

And, there is just one of hundreds of links to the HMS Victory that I am referring to.
