There was this one guy on Abassa warning us to leave before the ghosts came, but then when one appeared we all began to fight, only two people died and we killed it quickly. He was sure sorry when he didn't attack the ghost...

P.S. Stunning is just as good as freezing, and even better if it's maxed.

I went on abassa not to long ago everyone was attacking with sword didnt freeze him once he died yay i got my party hat yay there awesome :)

It does seem to help freezing the rage ghosts because for a limited time they can't regenerate their health. If you all attack at once with a lot of people, you can get it's health all the way down before it regenerates.

why u think killing red ghost its hard?,. all u need is :
1. Freezer.. Bitter End is fast to recharge
2. Executor,. Blunderbuss.. at least grand blunderbuss with steel shot full and full take aim
3. Evil eye's Doll.. all u need is full grave shackles.. made it 10 sec not moving,. freezer can do another freeze when 1st freeze fail to hit

scenario..
evil eye attune rage ghost from far,. then grave shackles it,. freezer come to red ghost and freeze it,. executor who had take aim shot with steel shot,. and BAM,.. no one die,..

I took down many with my guild leader with me. I wielded the Bitter End, and he possessed a Blunderbuss with Steel Shot. We'd wait till we were near a Rage Ghost. I would freeze it, and it is funny to freeze it, you can still see it's location with the red glow, anyway, after it Froze, He Blunderbussed it and it died. One time, we got a Loot Skull Chest with just the Hat. Disney must add more stuff to find that cannot be found anywhere else but a Rage Ghost Loot Drop.

one more i forgot,. executor need re-skill his shot with this :
Shot : 5
Take Aim : 5
Silver : 5 ( for kill skeleton )
Steel : 5 ( for Tormenta and Raven Cove )
Sharp Shooter : 5
Eagle Eyes : 5

I'm sure they can be killed but I'm not one to hang around and find out savvy? If I ever see this ghoul I'll be heading the other way.

I've only visited "The Cove" once and I'm none too anxious to go back just yet. Need better weapons, and more notoriety.

Yes the rage ghosts can be killed pretty easily if you have a freeze weapon.

Here is how we did it with just 3 of us pirates:

1st pirate shoots rage ghost with a pistol then when the rage ghost comes after that pirate the 2nd pirate hits him with the freeze weapon. Then the 3rd pirate kills the ghost with a blunderbuss using steel shot. Worked every time.


Note: It gets a little tougher when a bunch of people that are not involved in the plan start hitting the ghost recklessly.

that why i suggest to attract Rage Ghost using Evil eye's Doll.. then grave shackles him,. freezer will be more easier hit them :)

Two people alone can defeat a rage ghost if the timing is right, and you are coordinated.
We have defeated them repeatedly with only two of us - both using Bitter End.

Had a person in a random crew say you needed a large crew to defeat them, and we ended up jumping to a slow server just to prove it COULD be done. The hard part is getting them before they have time to hit you back! If you miss first shot - there is a LOT of running involved!

I believe it. I find it amusing when there are lots of pirates around Ravens Cove all saying they(rage ghosts) can't be killed or your wasting your time etc.... then you go and kill the rage ghost in front of them. :laughks2:


Trying to kill them on a busy server when people don't want to listen to instructions on how to do it is very tough though so I usually go to the quiet servers as well.

I have wondered why it drops all 3 types of loot containers. The hat is the only thing in them as far as I know...

And Nelly...I cannot even imagine one of those bad boys taken out by two people! Kudos on the willpower for that! =)

There were many jail visits until we got the timing right!! LOL

And YES, IMO its MUCH harder with a larger group! It just makes the ghost run and you cannot get it to stay still to freeze it.

I HEARD that the game files have several different color versions of the hat, but who knows. I have only seen the blue and red. Some also say they can drop famed, but I have yet to meet anyone personally who has gotten one from a rage ghost. Or anything BUT a party hat for that matter. Its become a bit of a joke - loot sack, HAT! Chest... HAT! SKULL CHEST..... HATTTT!!!!!!!
