Yeah.

The problem with to SOTL is it takes an eternity to turn, plus if you try to get all royals your crew mates might leave. i think the Cerberus could take it down. cant go wrong with explosive broad side.

I am gonna wait and ride on the ships from other ppl before I buy and see which is best. We all know the Cerberus is going to be the king of svs.

Geoffrey Fireskull 01-16-2011 09:14 AM

Does anyone have any idea of when these new ships might be released, and also does that mean we will be able to have more than the current 3 ship maximum?

I don't think anyone knows about either... Except the design team. But they had the ships out on test once, for about a day or so. And some people got it. But knows one knowws when they will come out.

I voted for the Revenant, but the Cerberus is a close second. My only problem with the Cerberus is that we would probably have to be closer than normal to use the explosive broadsides. Being a War Sloop, this would just defeat the purpose. With the Revenant, I doubt distance would be an issue.

Being a pirate, I want them all! So, I will start with the SOTL so as to be able to haul the most loot, savy? Then Phantom, and finally Cerberus.

Unless POTCO is kind enough to allow a poor pirate like meself to have a larger fleet!

The Stealthy Pirate 02-04-2011 11:40 PM

eh..... all of 'em??

Yeah, the Cerberus probably will, but there's a chance it won't, too. How else does the EITC Conqueror fire it's Explosive Broadside over a fourth of a mile away? And, defeat the purpose of what?

I think it'd be the Phantom you're thinking of, not the Revenant. Thunderbolt has the longest range.

AdmiralSavvy 02-05-2011 01:14 AM

Heh, it's been a while since I've done some serious sailing; I haven't even done an actual fleet yet, so I suppose my knowledge is a little rusty.
I just think that a War Sloop (IF Explosives require you to be close) would lose its purpose that way considering how they're primarily meant to be evasive (not open targets).

I'm not necessarily looking for the longest range, just a sufficient one.

Oh, well in that case, I think people - myself especially - would be able to managed the required close range firing. In the first place, the War Sloop does kind of have the lowest Broadside Range of the Warships (not that I really pay attention to the broadside ranges). The Cerberus's Explosives will make it invincible to a certain extent, because it'll be able to sink ships fairly quickly before sufficient damage is received.

SEAKING23 02-05-2011 02:03 AM

It all depends on how you use them... i use them for close range.

Davy_Mcwrecker 02-05-2011 04:27 AM

Well..... I would get the Rev. With fury Broads, You can sink easily from a distance. Next the SOTL Bc of it's ull points. ThenI would get the Cerberus for svs pwnage.

swashbuckler1 02-20-2011 04:17 PM

i voted ship of the line its cool with all the damage it can do!!!

blaster54 02-20-2011 05:57 PM

Phantom! I think it would be beast to have that awesome ship!

bartholomew bladeroberts 02-20-2011 06:00 PM

Sotl all the way it may be a big target but it holds good cargo good cannons and it's tough while it lacks speed I'm sure the hull compensates for it
