SvS needs the most sailing and gunning skill in this game and i think its the most challenging part of POTCO since there is so many players in SvS are experts at it which makes it hard for me and new players who want to join SvS because they give us a hard time which is kind of good i guess since it makes you only want to get better at svs and beat those "experts". Very competetive!

You will notice though, periods of time when some of us stand on beach while less experienced players "take the field". I would say its a good time between six and seven pm during week for that.... but that does change....you just have to look at the board and see what size starters are out.

The starter bounty is on the right side of board for boats just launching . It will show a 0 on the left side and their "starter" bounty on the right side of board. Larger starters usually point out a more experienced player. So, if you see all big starters launching and big scoring/high bounty boats out....its going to be a bumpy sail for less experienced svs sailors...and you might gun then...or, as you said, go for it!! and learn all you can..if you enjoy sailing and a challenge....its worth it....:piratewheelgo2:

I have a question To the big Guilds like Mcraging, guardians, etc.
Why are they never seen in SvS if they are considered "strongest" guilds?

This was last night, SvS is getting great when no one ports bounty. PLEASE GET SUNK BEFORE PORTING IN ANDABA IF YOU HAVE BOUNTY SO THE BOUNTY STAYS IN PLAY. SVS is better in The weekends.

I couldn't agree more with Leo.

Also, please be the bigger person in SvS. A lot of bounty gets ported not because that person is trying to be obnoxious, but they feel as if they're getting revenge on someone who ported on them. Don't you see? It's just a chain that continues itself. Oddly enough, it seemed easier to deal with people who ported the bounty to have fun or to be annoying. I've seen 25k ported right in my face, and you know what I did? Laughed. I've seen 10k ported by a friend, why? Because someone ported on him, but I didn't laugh, I was disappointed. Don't give yourself a bad reputation because you feel as if you need to deal out revenge, just be the mature one.

I never port, I respect my opponent who sinks me, and i never ported even on those who did on me

And what if you need to log out? Then what do you do? Not many people would leave their ships in the hands of others. Its not a wise choice, considering there is nobody to take over the wheel from people who hijack it. I don't mean to attack, but don't you realize that sometimes people may port simply because they need to log out?

Davy, Some of the people in svs in andaba who port are pro svsers and port the big bounty on purpose. Its not because they have to log because they come back and keep porting just to start drama and get others mad. No one likes them for porting bounty but somehow they think they are "cool" and like to see people mad at them so they keep repeating it. You would understand if you SvSed in andaba more because thats where the issue is since its the main SvS server and a lot of people are in svs and of course theres always a few who love to mess thing up for others.
Now to your point. I don't think you loose anything if you leave your ship to someone else to sink so the bounty stay in play. Bounty is the main goal in svs as it gets score up and bounty is gold.

What happens if they are about to sink? i port my ship some times when those blasted Spaniards are at my tail and i'm almost sunk.

In my opinion, Thats that shows that you are even weaker than when you sink because thats quitting. It is better to except the loss sometimes than defend it. Getting sunk also pushes you to not get sunk next time. One word for it, COWARD- no offense to you, speaking in general

This was a svs event earlier today, although short, it was very fun and a lot of players participated from many different guilds. 14 to 18 ships/crews participated with over 60 pirates in total. LoL I forgot to get Screen shots of battles but i did get some before and after the event.
