If Disney does take away the coin flip emote, they should add a new one, like being able to clean your teeth with a dagger, or perhaps the ability to crack your knuckles constantly. Though some might be misusing the coin flip, taking it away without adding another emote to fill the void is harsh.

Actually, my guild mate pointed it out to me. There are two versions of the /coin emote.. as strange as it is. Pirates will still be able to do /coin emote where the avatar will continue to carry out the emote as usual.. However, they are taking away the other version of /coin that is available in the drown down menu by the chat.

Careful Crim. Disney reads these forums, and if you are right, then if they see your post they may take that method away as well.

Captain Jason 12-05-2010 08:09 PM

I'll test that Crim, and hopefully if Disney is reading this, then they'll realize how mad they made they're customers.

EDIT: I just tested it, and Disney did take it away, or at least the way I thought you said it.. :(

I'll try to clarify from the point of view is to how my guild mate explained it to me as well. There are two different stances for the coin emote: one where the avatars legs appear to be separated slightly and the other where they are basically side by side. The emote in which they are planning to take away is where the legs are separated which is the emote found in the drop down menu. This emote is simply, if I were to do it.. "Crim flips a coin." However, the tails and heads one which they are planning to keep is "Crim flips a coin... Heads." Personally, I see no point in taking away the emotes, but if they are going to take this type of approach.. well, I find it unnecessary

This is very interesting, banning people for something THEY made...

Basil Darkratte 12-05-2010 10:06 PM

I was in test, about the same time this happened. I had I a friend who told me about it. I still don't know why they have to remove it. they can just fix the code or something.

Nate Raidhawk 12-05-2010 11:52 PM

Ok, I was pretty mad that coin emote is going to be gone, but now, on abassa, THEY ARE KNOCKING OUT AND BANNING PEOPLE FOR USING EMOTE??? Maybe there IS a secret Gm... (shutter) that's kind of unnerving to think about. Abassa is the number 1 crime server in the game. o__O

xswx 12-06-2010 12:06 AM

this is stupid theyremove it wha i think the ppl who do the bad stuff would get banned for being stupid anyone with me?

Tiberius Fireskull 12-06-2010 12:07 AM

I'm with you... but Disney would never give themselves a ban xD

xswx 12-06-2010 12:09 AM

lol yea lol @_@

Are you saying I can just do a /coin Crim? I tried it and nothing happened. Sorry I don't exactly get what you mean.

Jamesvsthekraken 12-06-2010 02:35 AM

Jason what you explained that happened on Abassa sounded like "abuse of power" to me. I mean if I were there and I used /coin by myself in a corner on Abassa Tortuga Beach with no one around me and having a Disney Employee "knock me out/ban me" when they did not mention it on their website or in their rules of using /coin just sounds odd/weird. :bookishfj7: :piratewheelgo2:

I haven't tried it yet on test, but from what I heard the /coin emote should still work considering that Disney said in their updates that the head and tails function still worked. There was two versions of the emote. "Crim flips a coin." and "Crim flips a coin... Heads." The second version is supposed to still be working, the first however is supposed to be taken away - though I can't guarantee it, only from what I've heard.

Personally I don't use the emote that much anymore since they've made the /glare one, but either way I still find it an impractical approach to solving their issues.

Tiberius Fireskull 12-06-2010 02:51 AM

Crim, you interpreted it wrong. What they meant is it will still say "Davy Fireskull flips a coin... tails/heads." It will SAY that. The action no longer works though.
