I think i owe POTCO an apology!

I saw that they slightly increased enemy aggression, just like i thought they should.

Extra rum for POTCO staff! woot!

See they are listening to fans!

Actually, they DO get alot of money. If everyone bought a year membership. thats $76 x 1,000,000. Now think how much money that is. I think thats enough money at least keep some servers up. Now think about this, FreeRealms, a SOE ( sony online entertaiment ) game has about 40+ people working there making updates. For a LIFE TIME membership, you pay $35. if everyone bought a lifetime membership, that would be $35 x 1,000,000. not nearly as much, and they have more people working on it, so they would get paid less. But they already have over 40 minigames, lets you be wizards, ninjas, miners, ect. ANd they have trading. yes, TRADING!!!! That shows that if POTCO worked hard enough, we could have SOTL's, Trading, new weapon types, ect. by now.

That shows you about how hard potco works for their pay.

Um.... they just came out with two updates in.... two days? (mardi gras and infamy) I wouldnt consider them lazy.

Sidenote:
Remember, people this game is different. The fighting isnt: Your turn, my turn, your turn, my turn, etc. This game isnt formal stuff, its more like 'ATTACK!' at the same time. Since this game is more like this, they cant make any upgrades on new stuff to use (ammo). This is just me bumbling out stuff that might possibly make sense.

but they already had those done with. they just had to put 'em on live. St. Patricks day clothes are already made. they just gottta put 'em on live. Titanic95594 was probably talking about creating stuff. ( aka the Calling All Testers! articles ) creating before it hits test. They could put aprils clothes out already. its just a matter of clicking and updating.

This is why i don't like to post on these forums much cause its filled with arguements about is Disney doing a good job. I think this game is amazing its everything i could ask for i see every update as frosting on the cake. I love this game i don't play many other games right now because this is all i could ask for in a game. Ik what kind of effort and programming and design and artistic abillities you have to have to create a game like this for thousands of players. Unless any of you are planning on making your own mmorpg then please stop trying to put down Disney.
Think of it this way. If your parents and teachers always told you your homework and classwork was horrible and you didn't do it fast enough or it was always wrong. Wouldn't you get discouraged in trying to do well? I know i would. I'm sure some of the Disney Staff probably reads these and this is all they see.. you guys bashing them down. That makes them inspiried to work harder and do more. I think this poll should most defintely have a I LOVE THIS GAME COLOUM cause thats what i would pick.

What about you?

PS
I play the following games and Disney's Pirates Online is still my top.
Free Realms
Star Wars the Clone Wars Adventures Beta Testing (wrong age group for me)
Lord of the Rings Online
Runescape (not fun)
Planning on playing SWTOR (might be up there with Pirates no released yet)
Age of Empires III

All of those are online games.

Agreed. Download Panda3D and make a simple controllable stickman walking, please. You can't, can you? Panda3D is stupidly complicated, then they have little money to hire experienced people to make much new content (even though they are doing pretty well). Panda3D is a TERRIBLE engine, and what they've done with it is remarkable by comparison.

I also think it's funny how a lot of people (not calling you out, Blaster, just making a point) think that they can do better than trained, hired people who do this full time and have a degree and a portfolio to show for it. Just sayin'. :\

When I first saw this poll I was expecting an option specifying they are doing a good job.

Davy is right and I 100% agree POTCO are doing the best they can as fast as they can despite the shortage of money given to them by Disney. They have come a long way since its release.

I also vote none of the above.

The Skirata Clan 03-19-2011 04:24 AM

Agreed... However we have no way of knowing if they have a good-sized team of developers or if they get limited funding.
