Then again, several years a go when I was eight(the age of a decent amount on these forums), I too did think the Summer started on June 1st.

Well, 5 more days left for May... Laggggg in the game is so bad I can't stand to be in the game for more than 15 minutes some times... If the rest of the game was any better, it might be worth bypassing my router.... Ships are still sailing right through town, (now they even run you over)... My graphics (with a nvidla graphics card, not Intel anyway) still end 1/2 way into a town sceen...

Umm... when I went to make dinner with the login screen open (after a crash). And I came back to check the forum, IE7 was all messed up... No pages would load, just a bunch of incripted code.

2 months 'till the end of summer.... won't be playing any games on the PC if I have to get new parts.

(except for the bugs)

I'm sorry for my rude response, it was definetly not warrented, eve if I was right and you hadn't read the first post. Though this surely does not warrent it either, I was very stressed when I wrote my last post, and I apologise.
Anyway, while I don't believe that all newspapers/news sources(FOX!) are not reliable, I do believe many including, I feel, the New York Times are usually very well-written, true, and have very little bias(though not compleatly free of it). However, when dealing with issues and statisitics that are not related to politics, religion, or anything controversal in the news, you can be pretty sure that it's not made up.
In my experince, through the many newspapers/news sources I looked at, the New York Times was on of the few that was almost always true/rarely biased, and a newspaper if there ever was one that you can trust.

According to a May 29th article in the Hollywood Reporter, the game will have a "summer launch", and "no launch date has been set". Here's a link to the article:

As I replied to your post in another thread, it's the reporters assumption. Don't you see how silly it is, that he writes it has a summer launch then said no launch date has been set? So if you don't know when they game is coming out, how can you write it is launching in the summer? lol

Disney will announce the launch date on the site: www.PiratesOnline.com
Keep your eyes out for it. :)

Since the reporter did talk to the "Big Wigs" at Disney Online (Paul Yanover and Mike Goslin), I can only guess that he got them to commit to "summer" but nothing more specific than that. Seems plausible, anyway.

Really? I had no idea. I apoligise, you were right, sorry.
Vandelay, I feel there are a few reasons why the article is probably wrong. First and Foremost, the source which is probably the most reliable is the website which says the game will come out in the Spring, so anytime up to June 21st. Furthermore, The New York Times is usually more reliable then most sources, including, most likely, the Holly Wood Reporter. Anyway, the New York Times is much more widely read, and it would be a bigger deal to make a mistake in the NY Times and warrent a correction, which has not been made.

I disagree but I won't argue the point . We'll see what happens, won't we? :)

Cownip 05-31-2007 01:39 AM

I tip my hat to you mate. It takes a lot to resist an argument, something that I don't always possess. We'll whatever happens, let's hope that I'm right lol. If the games turns out all right in public play, then the sooner the better.

Pirate Funnymush 05-31-2007 07:45 AM

I know how solve this argument. Let our swords do the talking! Hardy har har!! :D

snowegoof 05-31-2007 03:49 PM

Well, it is the last day of may, so not in may, maybe tomorrow because it is the 1st day of the month and it is a friday, so with a little patience, hopefully we'll see. but june is the moth of summer and the website says "Coming spring 2007".

Sr.Penguin 05-31-2007 04:56 PM

It won't be tomorrow I can guarentee that mate. I don't think PotCO will come out for a few more weeks, I doubt it will come out in June. The way the things are going in beta, I don't see it coming in June.
